This product was demonstrated by my national award winning watercolor instructor and our class was impressed by the results. I purchased six brushes in various sizes and am happy with how easy they are to handle. The results are excellent. What makes them great are the compact size. They easily fit in the pocket of a small zippered brush holder. Traveling light for an artist, especially for outdoor projects and even just traveling from place to place, makes these brushes "must haves". Blick's prices and quick delivery are a major plus.

I was ready to send this brush back when I opened the box.. the protective sleeve had fallen off and the brush had a 90 degree bend in the hairs... one of the reasons I ordered this synthetic brush was for plein aire painting... and the abuse travel brushes have to take... so I wet it, swirled it in my brush cleaning soap... gave it a shake... and viola... straight with a very crisp point. It has proved to be a very nice detail brush and it snaps back very nicely.

Brush can hold a very nice amount of water and will create very detailed lines. Very pleased so far. It's still new though.

I bought a Round and a small Flat wash. These are very nice brushes that hold their own against the competition in the same price range-I can speak from first-hand experience there. They hold their shape well and apply watercolors in a very controlled manner. Save your money for the sable brushes and start with these. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Was recommended to me by a professional artist and I can see why...I call it the Rolls Royce of brushes. Hold a load of water, is very springy and has a fabulous point.

These brushes were recommended by a friend and professional painter then I was reading through a couple books on watercolor and the authors (professional watercolorists) mentioned them too. I decided to try a couple of the midsized brushes as I could afford them. They are by far the best watercolor brushes I've used. They hold paint well, glide on the paper/board, handle beautifully, and haven't begun to wear, shed, splay in 2 years. I've just bought a half dozen more of the larger, more expensive sizes and have used the 30 and 40 rounds and am amazed. I was hesitant because of the price but the results are worth it. Another reviewer mentioned using even the large brushes for washes and details both and I concur. The handling of the brush and the way the brush retains the point allows for this beautifully.

I use the Cosmotop round wash brush. I bought the size 24, as I prefer a large brush for most paintings. I use it for watermedia of all kinds, on watercolor paper or illustration board.

What I like: holds it shape, easy to clean, flexible, creates even washes. Also, it forms a good point that works perfectly for drawing with ink or any liquid form of paint. I rarely need a small brush for details, as this one handles them so well (with some practice). Durability is great: this brush does not shed bristles or show any signs of wear even after several years of frequent use.

There is nothing I dislike. Excellent product.

I first used these brushes after reading about them in a watercolor book. I tried the #8 and loved it. However I lent it to one of my watercolor students and it was never returned, so I have purchased another one. It is a bit pricey but I will probably get a larger one in the future.
