Da Vinci takes the name of their company very seriously. Their paints are exciting, intense, and rated among the best in the world for quality.
The paints are permanent, with the highest tinting strength and pigment concentration available. However, they are especially soft, with a creamy consistency for smooth, easy dispersion with water.
Available in both 15 ml (.51 oz) and 37 ml (1.25 oz) tubes. Da Vinci paints conform to artist's quality standard ASTM D-5067, and to safety standard ASTM D-4236.

Comments about Da Vinci Paints Da Vinci Artists' Permanent Watercolors:
I was looking for pigments with specific color shades and chemical purity that would enable me to easily and reliably mix together to obtain various shades of delicate neutral grays while at the same time being able to tint the gray towards either of the colors used without compromising their original hue. As an example, light blue and orange which could be tinted towards either blue or orange and not turn to a murky green. Da Vinci delivered.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My "GO to" watercolors!
By Brushstrokes & Brilliance
from Fairhope, AL
These watercolors are my "go to" for my personal painting as well as teaching! They are a solid value in price with large tubes available. This allows me to give my students good amounts for large easy to create washes. The pigment load is excellent, very close to a much more expensive professional grade of paint.

I will buy again!
from Southwest Missouri
the pigment content seems to be more intense so I get the level of saturation faster with less glazing. I love it and will replace many of my other tubes as I use them up.

This company has colors not available from other companies, and I like how they mix...the consistency is quite nice.

I use this in my professional work and in teaching. It is affordable for students and the rich concentration of pigment helps them in really learning to control pigment in water. Good consistent quality.
