Da Vinci Brush Soap is an all-natural, chemical-free soap that contains a conditioning agent that won’t leave your brushes too dry or brittle. Created by brush makers, this uniquely formulated, 100% pure vegetable-based soap is unlike any other brush soap.
Brushes that have not been cleaned properly lose their interlocking quality after short use. This means that the hair will stand apart. Moreover, the hair and bristles may break at the edge of the ferrule. You can make your brushes last longer by proper cleaning and conditioning.
Just like your own hair, brushes benefit from moisturizing treatments. The vegetable oils in Da Vinci All Natural Brush Soap keep natural hair and synthetic fibers smooth and elastic.
® Da Vinci is a registered trademark of Da Vinci Brushes.

The Mona Lisa of soaps
By Debbie B weekend painter
Da Vinci even cleaned an old brush stiff with blue oil paint. It is new again. This is my new go-to soap and so nice for hands also as I don't wear gloves.
Very gentle but works great at cleaning my brushes, plus it smells wonderful!

After using Ugly Dog soap for years and learning the company had been bought out with no way of purchasing additional product, I tried this soap for the first time along with the Escoda brand. I find the DaVinci soap to be an excellent cleaning soap that lathers up the way Ugly Dog used to. It generally takes me three applications to get my brushes clean. I then use the Escoda soap to finish the cleaning as it seems to be a better conditioner. You might consider having a soap dish available as there is no permanent container that comes with this soap.

No doubt. One of the best brush soaps
By Kal A.

No doubt that this soap is one of the best I've had. I use it to clean brushes both natural and synthetic from oil paint. I rub the brush on the soap bar and then use my thumb and index finger to lather the soap into the bristles. I then pull the hairs outward from the ferrule. When doing that, you just see the paint come out and the bristles clean. I don't recommend that you rub the bristles in all direction because you could be pushing the paint inside the ferrule and into the roots of the bristles. There is also another soap that da Vinci carries. It's the same but round and enclosed in a metal container that is good for travel/plein air. I hope Blick Art would sell that too.
