Comments about Crescent RendR No Show Thru Paper:
These things hold ink and marker better than any other sketchbook I've owned. Each side is it's own, with no bleed through between pages! It's wonderful, especially for the price. This is an incredible quality sketchbook, so if you're a marker fan like me, don't hesitate. These sketchbooks are worthwhile.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

No show thru paper
from Worcester MA
I work with kids and they are making art journals. Love this product since they can do water colors one day and Acrylic paints another as well as charcoal. It gives them a wide variety of options all in one book.

These are the best books for alcohol markers if you want to avoid bleeding. You can color each page, front and back, entirely without any color showing through on the other side. These are worth the money!

I love my new rendr pad. I received it in the mail with spectrum noir markers and started trying them out right away. At first I was worried because when I started drawing with the markers the color looked different. If you give it time to dry and drys to the color marker it's supposed to be. This book is awesome and looking forward to buy more.

NO, i would definitely not buy this again!
from brooklyn, ny
what a disappointment. right out of the wrapping, it disappointed. this sketchbook is advertised as a LAY FLAT sketchbook. it does NOT lay flat. that is the reason that i purchased this sketchbook. it doesnt even come close to lying flat. not even a a little bit, in fact it is worse because it is soft cover book when i open it and lay it flat on a table, it actually closes itself shut. i was so disappointed by the false advertising that i googled the manufacturer, and crescent doesnt list a phone number or contact email to call them. shameful. they really should be ashamed of themselves. i didnt even test out the paper yet to see if it is no show thru. i am probably just going to return it. i dont love the look of the paper. it is stiff and has a weird cold grayish speckled coloring to it. there is no warmth or tooth to this paper.all around disappointment. bleech.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I love this product. it's awesome for ink drawings
I used alot of different art papers and found this the best paper you can use for ink. it never show though and I love that. it's hard to find a art book that you can use ink.
No bleed, no bending sketchbook.
Pros: -No bleed whatsoever.-Little bending from watercolor.-Very little to no pencil smudging. My pencil drawings, which have smudged a lot in canson artbooks, have not been smudging despite constant use.-The cover feels nice and its edges have stayed straight despite a fair amount of use and transportation. Cons: -doesn't lie completely flat, although this feature doesn't bother me very much. -The paper isn't completely white. It's a very light grey that's very slightly speckled/more transparent in some areasNotes: -I haven't noticed any smells, but I am not smell sensitive. -I use my Rendr sketchbook for pencil, marker, watercolor, and pen stuff. Overall: satisfies all my needs and I will continue to use it in the future as a main sketchbook.

One of the Best Purchases I've made in a while
from Dallas, TX
So, I was poking around the internet one day, looking for a bleed proof sketchbook I could use to initially created an Original Comic of mine. And, after a couple minutes of searching, I happened to had come across a book that promised no matter how much acrylic, water color, or marker ink you used on a page, it will never show through the other side of the paper. Curious, I bought the book, for a rather affordable price considering it came w/ 96 pages. It shows up at my door 3 days early...and I was excited to put its expectations to the Test. I had gotten some alcohol based markers from a friend that would bleed heavily through another sketchbook of mine made by Strathmore, and my excitement to try them on this new book filled me to no avail. So, I already had the 1st page premeditatedly drawn out, and did what an artist does best. After a couple minutes of using a profusion of ink for the cover page - to my surprise, there was no bleeding on the other side of the page. Not even a splotch. This company advertises that no matter what you used, it wouldn't bleed, or show through the other side, and this statement holds true. I do not own a set of acrylic myself, or water colors, but, as an avid Alcohol marker user, seeing how they can bleed through literally 3 pages in a sketchbook w/ thin sheets of paper, this was absolutely astounding! I instantly believed that no matter what you used, it wouldn't show through, and I recommend this book to anyone looking for a sketchbook that promises what's advertised.

I have been using watercolors, charcoal and chalk, alcohol markers and paint but nothing seems to seep through to the other side of the page, its amazingly smooth and easy to blend on as well. Dream paper :)
