Crescent Decorative Matboard offers excellent protection for the majority of framing jobs and provides unlimited matting combinations to enhance artwork and complement interior decor. It can also be used for posters, decorative art, and craft projects.

These classic boards have a fine-quality surface paper that is highly fade and bleed resistant. The white core is made of unprinted, reclaimed wood pulp fibers and, along with the backing paper, is buffered and acid free. Individual boards are 4-ply, .052"–.060" (1.3 to 1.5 mm) thick.

It's so nice to be able to buy half sheets of Matboard because I have a small mat cutter and it's difficult to work with whole sheets. Dick Blick ships things so quickly too. Can't beat them.

I bought three different colered mattes to use as a backing to a shadowbox project. I wasn't sure exactly which color I liked best based on the website which is why I purchased three. They came in a timely manner and they were packaged really well. The pricing was the best I could find anywhere. Completely reasonable for what you're getting.

The only thing I had to complain about was one of the mattes had a smudge of some kind on it. It wasn't worth sending back since it wasn't the color I liked the best. The smudge could be rubbed off but it left a slighter lighter patch on the mat board.

But overall the product was fantastic!

It's plain white mat board, perfect for framing, but it's not archival. Out of a lot of 50 pieces, only 1 had any surface defects (marks, dings gouges). and noneof the corners were bent through shipping, which was a huge surprise.

I use this matboard when framing my batiks. I am really impressed by how carefully it is packed. I have never found a ruined one! I can depend on the quality, and it is so much less expensive than buying here in an art supply store.

I have used this mat board for years and will continue to do so. I sell nature photography at craft shows and use this to mat my photos. The quality is good and consistent. Blick Art Materials has very good prices and ships quickly.
