With its limitless possibilities for color, shape, and inclusions, resin helps artists add a personal touch to jewelry. In this workshop, mixed media artist Sherri Haab showcases the versatility of resin. She works with purchased molds, casts original designs in silicone, and turns household items into exciting accessories. She demonstrates how to coat favorite images for a customized charm bracelet, float dried flowers in an elegant pair of earrings, and turn old game pieces into a pendant or dangle. She creates striking metallic effects with acrylics and mica, and she swirls powders and pigments to cast colorful stripes and layers. Viewers will learn how to back resin with gold leaf and emulate granite, quartz, lapis lazuli, and vintage Bakelite jewelry. In all, Haab demonstrates 15 unique projects, and she shares polishing and sanding techniques for finishing each piece with a professional look. The DVD also includes an artist's gallery and printable resource list. DVD. 113 minutes. Note — We regret that we cannot give refunds on videotapes, see also ... |
