Createx Auto Air Additives

Use Auto Air Additives with Auto Air Paints to paint on metal, fiberglass, plastic, vinyl, wood, concrete, and glass.

They are permanent, lightfast, and non-toxic.

4020 Automotive Reducer — This is a specialty thinner used in humid or cold conditions. Add it to Createx Auto-Air Colors to make them flow more easily, with minimal tip-dry. This product contains acetone and glycol ethers. Use it only in controlled spray environments with adequate ventilation and a NIOSH/MSHA-approved respirator.

4030 Intercoat Clear — The clear, non-catalyzed, waterbased polyurethane formula functions as both an intercoat and an additive for enhanced spray performance. It is recommended for use with Createx Auto-Air Colors, Candy2O Colors, Wicked Colors, and Illustration Colors. 4030 is not a reducer as paint viscosity is not truly lowered. It can safely be combined with Createx reducers. 4030 Intercoat dries to a flat, hard, and level surface that's perfect for taping and masking. It also functions as an excellent, semi-gloss, protective clear coat over base colors prior to the application of graphics.

Airbrush Cleaner — Use this waterbased biodegradable cleaner to clean airbrushes between color changes. Simply rinse the airbrush with water to remove excess color, then add Cleaner to the airbrush and spray until color is completely gone. Rinse the airbrush with water to remove any residual Auto Air Cleaner.

Aluminum Bases — Aluminum bases are available in three grades — fine, medium, and coarse. They are highly reflective and intended as an undercoat for Candy colors, and may also be used alone for an aluminum-like reflective finish. They cover quickly, and often only one coat is needed. Apply over Base Coat Sealer Dark to insure proper adhesion. They are made with heavy metallic flakes. Stirring may be required, in addition to thorough shaking.

Base Coat Sealer — This is a low build, adhesive sealer coat. It is opaque and covers well in one or two coats. Cure with heat before applying additional coats. Use Base Coat Sealer Dark as a primer for most Auto Air Colors. Use Base Coat Sealer White as the initial layer when working with colors that have a light value.

Restorer — This medium removes or dissolves cured and uncured waterbased paints. It makes for easy cleanup and complete removal of Auto Air Colors for cured finishes (prior to clear) and dried paint in spray guns and airbrushes.

Transparent Base — This base may be added to colors to increase transparency. Add in small increments.

W500 High Performance Reducer — Specifically designed to optimize flow and eliminate tip-dry, this reducer can be used with both Createx Wicked Colors and Createx Auto Air Colors. Flow characteristics are enhanced without surface tension, allowing for greater coverage per coat. Colors cure to a matte, level finish — perfect for automotive taping and graphics masking. W500 High Performance Reducer also allows paints to cure more completely through air drying alone and lowers the risk of cratering (in comparison to airbrush colors mixed with W100 Reducer).
