I hesitated on ordering two bags of craft buttons after reading mixed reviews, but I am very very pleased! In fact, after receiving my order today, I have just logged on and ordered four more bags! I scrapbook, I sew, I knit, I crochet, I make cards, I homeschool. I do it all, and these buttons will not go to waste. I was very pleased with all of the colors and how many buttons were actually in a pound. As others said, they came mildly dusty so the first thing I did when I opened them was dump them into a colander and rinse them off in the sink. I then placed them on hand towels (one on bottom and one on top) and patted the buttons dry. It took less than ten minutes. I then went through and sorted them all out by color (which took a little longer). I started to count to see how many I actually got, but it was impossible. I stopped after a couple hundred. There were probably 700-900 buttons in each bag in all different sizes (most on a smaller scale, what you would use to sew on a shirt) but I also found some real gems. Out of around 1600 buttons, I only found ten or so broken/chipped ones, which I can actually still use. Some are big, some are small, some are ugly but most are great. I am very pleased with the quality for the price. I will tell you that these seem to be used buttons. A lot of them have logos from name brand clothing and etc on them. My favorite were 6 or 7 blue buttons I found that said "BLIND DATE" on them.

I got this product to put in a jar to use as a doorstop for my sewing room. I loved all the different shapes and sizes. Fun to just look through. The only bad part was the dust but that was no big deal and easy to rinse off.

I bought these to use for embellishments on paper crafts. The bags have a nice assortment with few duplicates. There aren't too many bright, large, or fun shaped buttons but I wasn't expecting that. Like other reviews said they were dusty but were easily cleaned in a colander. I will definitely purchase these again.

I was a bit skeptical about ordering this assortment when I read some of the reviews but decided to go ahead for the price. I was extremely pleased with my order. I received a wonderful assortment and great variety that will be perfect for making jewelry.

I use buttons in jewelry making and crafts. Sometimes it is hard to find some good deals on buttons. This is definitely it. You get a large assortment of buttons, big and small, pretty and ugly, colorful and not. All you could want in a bag of buttons is here. Like others have said, they are a little dirty when you get them, so I rinsed them in a colander and laid them out to dry. No big deal. Shipping is a little steep though. I paid double just to get them shipped.

I was very disappointed with this purchase! Firstly, the buttons were all extremely dirty, and left this mysterious film on my fingers, and to my utter disgust, I found a piece of a crab's claw among the buttons! Then, a lot of the buttons were either broken, chipped, or had brand names etched on them, which basically makes them useless, therefore had to be thrown away!

I buy a lot of buttons for a small button artisan shop and these are the best assortment. Many bright colors and plenty of white which are great for dying. Every size from tiny to huge and not too many repeats, a marvelous variety of buttons. And a terrific value too!

I do embellishments and anyone who shops on ebay can tell you buttons are a hot item and a pound of assorted buttons can get really pricey. For colorful modern buttons this is the item to buy, No sets but a huge assortment. I bought 6 pounds and I am all set for a looooong time.

I needed a good assortment of buttons for a mold I was making.
This is a great collection. And CHEAP! (even with shipping!) Have any of you priced assorted buttons lately? I will warn you that there are very few matching ones. Ussually it's just singles.
But OH the assortment! I couldn't keep my fingers off of them.
