I have an antique desk mat that needs a large piece of blotting paper. Hard to find them sold individually; I only need to replace one every year or so. Lovely quality. Fair price. Thanks!
Pro-rate price of blotters and sell more.

The blotters are being used as an etching tool. In this area they are a hard to find item, particularly in larger sizes. They must be a new item for Blick as they are not in your latest catalog, and someone doing etching really needs them. However, a price quantity adjustment should be affixed. I bought "a few" because I anticipate this to change.
Pro-rate price of blotters
Realize large "blotters" are a new produce in that they are not listed in new catalog. However, as I informed the lady on the phone, if you choose to carry an items like one hundred and seventy-three dollars Mezzetint Rockers, you should provide a tool for sharpening same other then a simple file. Also, Putz is a great past for polishing copper plates, and a container for storing Nitric Acid would sure be a big help. Other acids are easy to store, but Nitric Acid is a bummer. And finally, pro=rate price of blotters.
If you do Intaglio or Lithography you need them.
I you need to prep paper for intaglio (etching) you can use towels and or blotters. For hand Lithography it's a cushion between your paper and tympan.

Answer to a prayer

I am attempting to save some old family heirloom photographs that had been found in a garage and were severely curled and needed to be rehumidified and pressed with blotting paper. I searched all over and purchased some from a large online retailer at what turned out to be an exorbitant price and small quantity. Then I stumbled upon Blick by searching for alternate name of product. What a find, superb quality, fast shipping and fantastic price. Will shop again for all my artistic needs.
Cosmos gets the job done.

I've been using Cosmos blotters over more expensive brands on printmaking specific sites both in my home etching studio for years and now in my printmaking classes at the art center. It does a great job blotting and is as reusable as the other brands, though not as rigorously archival. (And my friend the paper-mache artist says the used-up sheets are fantastic!) A very good value.
Nice Blotter Paper

I used it to pad my Calligraphy slant board and it worked perfectly.
seems like the older was better
I use these sheets to flatten acrylic/mixed media works on paper. There are a couple disappointing features to this product...1) no one seems to carry the larger sheets of this paper- the manufacturer does make it, but to no avail for the shopper online.....2) the current paper doesn't act as absorbantly as it used to......I may be wrong, but the current blotter paper doesn't seem to help as much as it used to
