these are gloriously fun to use.

Not only reacting with one another, but keep some 70% isopropyl close by to create a ton of effects by using it to blend or effect your creations!

The markers are great with blending and solid color laydown. You can also vary the opacity of the color by variating the number of layers you apply. The only complaint I have, is that the color for the marker deosn't match it's ink sometimes. Besides that, I would totally recommend these to anyone that has worked with markers before and would like to upgrade.

I've used pretty much every brand of marker available and Copics are the best art markers hands down. I draw mainly wildlife art in marker/ink and nothing compares to Copics. The sketch markers are great for full coloring and doing detail work. The brush tip is amazing, giving the artist great control and a feeling of using watercolor with a brush. I do a bit of comic book art as well and once again nothing compares. Great vibrant and bold colors along with flawless blending and smooth, consistent color, as well as a very comfortable feel in the hand. A pricey investment upfront for sure but replaceable nibs and the ability to be refilled means these markers will basically last you a lifetime. I am very thankful that Blick makes them more affordable for artists. I highly suggest that artists buy them from Blick but even if you buy them at retail they are more than worth it.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? These Markers are in a class of their own. Coloring with them is pure bliss. The ability to blend colors can be done without effort. They're refillable and compatible with Copic's airbrush system. They feel great in your hand and render beautifully (especially on Canson Marker paper). Though I bit pricey, they are definitely worth it when you realize your artwork looks that much more beautiful with Copic's brilliant color. GET THESE MARKERS!!

while i will admit that there are cheaper markers out there, compared to these, that's exactly what they are. i was taught in college on prismacolor markers and i did love them, but i recently got back into marker renderings and took the dive. i couldnt be more happy! they blend superbly into each other and the colors are top notch! i bought the basic 36 set and 6 additional flesh tones. they are fantastic to use and the results are night and day with minimal effort.
i used to be a firm believer that it was the artist not the equipment but these markers have proven me wrong! if you have the money, they are an investment, but i highly recommend these markers!
