Colour Shapers are a revolutionary tool for painting, drawing, lifting, and blending. Invented by artists for artists, Colour Shapers combine tradition with exciting new technology. The durable tips are made of an advanced rubber composite.
Apply oil or acrylic paint straight from the tube with a Colour Shaper, and then use it to carve back into the paint for a variety of texture and surface effects. The tool easily lifts paint from the surface or draws lines, contours, and edges on the color.
With seamless nickel ferrules and lacquered hardwood handles, they offer the quality needed by dedicated artists. To clean, simply dip the tips in water or solvent and wipe with a cloth. Don't worry — dried color just peels away!
Available in Soft or Firm tips. The ivory-colored tip is soft and designed for responsiveness with fluid and soft colors. The gray tip is firm and offers better control over heavy bodied paints. Choose your size, shape, and firmness, or try a sampler set of 5.
Mini Sets of 5
Just like their larger counterparts but these are only 1/8" wide, size 0.
Sets of 5
One of each tip, including Taper Point, Cup Round, Cup Chisel, Flat Chisel, and Angle Chisel. Available in Firm or Soft.

Colour Shapers are a sensible alternative to painting knives when working impasto. Use them also to build brushstroke-free glaze layers.
Colour Shapers create unusual gestural effects in watercolor and hard-edged calligraphic strokes with ink. Try them for blending, smudging, and dabbing your pastel paintings and charcoal drawings too.

Great for smoothing Pastel
By Art Dar
from Rock Island, IL
Comments about Colour Shapers Tools:
I use Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils. I'm not big on blending with my fingers so these color shapers work well. Size 2 is useful for detail work since they are small. Most of my work has intricate detail which I can do well with these.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

A Great Tool To Manipulate Oils/Mediums!
By Maestro Perry
from Indianapolis, Indiana
Just bought a couple more differ sizes to help with my arsenal of tools to use for enhancing my paintings with oils.
These Colour Shapers Help When Needed!
I had two other sizes from many years ago, and wanted two other sized related products. I like them as aides with my brushes in moving colours or manipulating painting mediums around for better directions. It's an excellent tool for any artist/ painter when he needs to re-adjust or manipulate for an artistic inspiration of design. also helps in removing of mistakes or stretching the hues around in for a much better technique.
Right tool for the right job

Comments about Colour Shaper Mini Sets:
I have a set of larger color shapers, which are great but sometimes they are too large for my smaller projects. I got these mini shapers because of the detail I need to sculpt into clay and epoxy clay things I've been making. These tools are perfect for the smaller surfaces I'm working on, they're about the diameter of a #2 brush's belly and they have some fine tips. I'm happy with these and I suggest you grab a set if you'll be working on anything jewelry sized or smaller. I think these also do a great job of applying pigment, but I haven't tried that yet. The tips give me great control with sculpting surfaces that aren't flat, or smoothing out the built up clay when I make a furrow using a sculpting pick too deeply.

Good for dipping out watercolor from palette
from Christiansburg, VA
I like the size 6 angle chisel for transferring squidgy color from the palette well to a mixing dish. I keep 2 in a jar with 1/2" of water, so that often when I need them again they're already rinsed off.
These are great !!!!! would buy again .

great for blending small areas

I love these shapers for my pastel drawings. They work much better than tortillons on pastels
Very valuable tool

Use for application of masking fluids. The colour shapers allow thinner lines, and clean off very easily after applying the mask fluids.

Fantastic, Game changers

These tools are fairly cheap, but so worth their price. I use them to sculpt miniatures in Green Stuff and they changed the game for me completely. A must have for hobby gaming sculptors.
