Colour Shapers are a revolutionary tool for painting, drawing, lifting, and blending. Invented by artists for artists, Colour Shapers combine tradition with exciting new technology. The durable tips are made of an advanced rubber composite.
Apply oil or acrylic paint straight from the tube with a Colour Shaper, and then use it to carve back into the paint for a variety of texture and surface effects. The tool easily lifts paint from the surface or draws lines, contours, and edges on the color.
With seamless nickel ferrules and lacquered hardwood handles, they offer the quality needed by dedicated artists. To clean, simply dip the tips in water or solvent and wipe with a cloth. Don't worry — dried color just peels away!
Available in Soft or Firm tips. The ivory-colored tip is soft and designed for responsiveness with fluid and soft colors. The gray tip is firm and offers better control over heavy bodied paints. Choose your size, shape, and firmness, or try a sampler set of 5.
Mini Sets of 5
Just like their larger counterparts but these are only 1/8" wide, size 0.
Sets of 5
One of each tip, including Taper Point, Cup Round, Cup Chisel, Flat Chisel, and Angle Chisel. Available in Firm or Soft.

Colour Shapers are a sensible alternative to painting knives when working impasto. Use them also to build brushstroke-free glaze layers.
Colour Shapers create unusual gestural effects in watercolor and hard-edged calligraphic strokes with ink. Try them for blending, smudging, and dabbing your pastel paintings and charcoal drawings too.

I wish I had these when I started out sculpting little additions and do-dads to my miniatures (think toy soldiers). Back in the day, and up until I received these shapers, my main tools for epoxy putty shaping were a razor blade and an old metal clay tool. These did the job but the colour shapers listed below are the real deal. They fit into the hand like a paint brush and are just solid - they don't feel like a knock-off product. I find they work best for my tasks if I keep the nibs wet. There are a lot of tutorials on what to use so use your search engine to find some. Anyway, the green coloured two-part epoxy that I use won't stick to them at all.I would give these six stars if I could!

Another use for chisel color shapers
I am a watercolor artist and I like to keep my paints in the individual wells clean. I use a chisel color shaper to transfer my paint from the well to the mixing area instead of my brush. The color shaper cleans off easily and you don't lose a lot of paint like you do when you rinse out a brush.

Great with Oil Pastels
from Madison, WI
I use the firm shapers with Oil Pastels. They work great at blending, and creating different textures. You need to make sure that you have enough layers of Oil Pastel on before they will blend. You also need to use higher quality Oil Pastels. The cheep ones won't blend well. They are especially nice for getting smooth textures like sky, and water. I will also use them to create textures for grass, etc. I wipe them with paper towel in between colors, and wash with soap and water if needed.

Ideal for applying masking fluid.
Color shapers are fantastic for applying masking fluid to watercolor paper. You just peel it off when you're done with no damage at all. The sizes these implements come in are a little odd, pretty much quite small (size 2) and too large (size 6), but perhaps there's a reason for it that I'm just not onto yet. It doesn't matter. They are very, very useful for this specific purpose as well as many others, since masking fluid isn't at all what their original intended use is. It's just a bonus!
So many uses!

I love these they are amazing! I use them to remove paint for corrections or to draw intricate lines to fill with different color paints for easy detail work! You can blend, remove, and even paint with these! I have all sizes!
Such a wonderful tool
These are great for blending pastels and creating shading that otherwise would have been a difficult challenge.
Great for pastel blending
By Sr. Artist
I use these shapers for blending larger areas of pastels. They are easy to use, and don't crumble or flake off on the paper as did the pipe insulation a friend suggested. These save my fingers from being shredded when using sanded paper...a good buy.
Colour Shapers Tools
I use these for sculpting facial details in smaller dolls. They work great.
