An excellent introduction to coil pots, when clay is not an option. I used the DB lesson place as a guide. The students loved making the vessels.

Tried this product as suggested for tribal pots with adolescents at a camp. The thin cord is the easiest to use and manipulate. The thicker the cord the harder it was to use. Most of the teens gave up, however the ones who stuck with it had a very nice project when it was finished.

I'd been using rope to make coiled fabric and yarn baskets. This is SOOOO much easier to work with, and even though it's paper it makes the basket surprisingly sturdy.
