This is a different kind of crackle paste. It is not the big crackles, rather it has fine crackles. This can have it's own special effect.

When I want the large crackles, I use a different brand.

For the effect of small crackles this has a very unusual effect.

followed directions, have used crackling from behr (who doesnt make it anymore and really produced nice results) no results. cant even see fine cracks. anyone else have any hints as to what they have done to make it work. i have read about applying the varnish over top and the cracks showed up but just wondering if there is anything else that helps!! thanks for anyone's input

Have used this product yrs ago and it was good. Bought some yesterday and totally disappointed. It did not work. Tried between paint coats, tried apply straight to object then paint..still nothing. A big waste of my time and money. Going to get a refund.

Mine showed very few cracks as though it didn't work. Then, i applied varnish when it dried to touch. The cracks showed up beautifully and gave a very authentic wood cracking look. It doesn't look like stone cracks as i had hoped.
Tip: if your brush makes some sounds while applying the medium, you have not applied enough medium.

This is my first negative review ever. I was concerned about purchasing after reading other reviews but I thought "it can't be THAT bad!" Well, it is. I don't see ANY crackle at all and I did follow the easy directions to the letter. Spend your money on something else :)

None of the other crackle products that I was able to buy locally worked, additionally the other products ruined my projects. I got recommendations from others on line to try Jo Sonja and I am glad I did . IT WORKS. I would recommend that you not waste your time with any other product and just get this.

Pack contains a 2 oz bottle of crackle medium, 2 oz Décor crackle, and instructions.
This is NOT a two part crackle. You receive one bottle. Only good if you want big fine cracks. Not small fine crackling.

this product gets great reviews from other crafters, but I do not know why I had such problems. one painting surface became grainy and rough; another painting did not show any effect at all. would love to hear from somebody from Jo Sonya on how to use this product without problems.
