Qualities of Atelier Interactive Acrylics include a smooth, buttery consistency that dries to a satin finish, and the ability to adjust and blend longer than conventional acrylics, resulting in intense colors. The unique formulation allows longer painting sessions, greatly broadening the scope of acrylic techniques that can be employed.
These acrylics can be diluted with water for exceptional results, and exhibit minimal color shift when dry. Gradual moisture loss allows users to control the drying process. For best results use with Chroma Atelier Binder Medium.

Comments about Chroma Atelier Interactive Acrylic Sets:
I had high hopes for the interactives, and maybe I'll come to love them. But my first impression is:- runnier paint than I would expect for a heavy body acrylic (thalo green spurted out when I opened the tube, what a mess)- the rewetting atomizer doesn't spray consistently (I have a plant sprayer that works better- the re-activating feature (with water; I haven't yet tried the re-activating solution) is quirkier and more difficult to control than I expected. The colors are true and strong, so as basic acrylics they are fine.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I am really enjoying these paints, however when I started to open the tube of white, even though the tube showed no signs of having been squashed, squeezed or damaged in anyway, before I was able to get the lower d completely unscrewed it suddenly blew off in my hand and about half of the paint in the tube came spewing out all over. That's why the 4 stars as now I am left with only a 1/3 a tube of paint. Otherwise it totally love the pigments in this paint, very versatile, they even work as water colors which us super super cool.
Merchant response: We apologize for the unusual behavior of one of these tubes. One of our Customer Care Representatives will be in touch so we can help you with this.

A perfect sample set
from Northern Michigan
I see this product on "Put Some Color In Your Life" show and love the colors and comments by the artist.Chroma Atelier Interactive Acrylic Sets off a way to try the product before investing lots of bucks. The colors are very bright, creamy and easy to use. I have been using "Golden" American acrylics and Like the Chroma Atelier so much better. And they are more cost effective. They are a better value and a better product in my opinion. Thanks to Blick's for carrying this product and the Atelier sets.

Interactive acrylics--the BEST
So I gave the traditional acrylics a few months try in art classes, but I was frustrated w/ them b/c of the quick drying & also when I wanted to fix a mistake I had to go over it which caused a thicker look! Well, NO MORE! I will never return to any traditional acrylics! This set was a great way to get started w/ the offer of the paint & the mediums & the DVD! I love the way it has a blended look ater it dries & I love the unlocking formula which works like magic! The colors are brilliant & you don't see brush strokes either! Can't say enough about these paints. I learned about them on youtube watching "Put Color in Your Life" from Austrailia where the interactive acyrlics originated.

Chroma Atelier Interactive
from Anchorage, Alaska
After years of working with watercolor, I have been trying other water mediums, including very old acrylic paints in my cache. After researching this product, I bought a set and am working with them now. I like them a lot and find they are just as advertised. The paints and medium work a bit differently from regular acrylics, but a extremely versatile. The colors I have are wonderful and am looking to forward to purchasing a larger range of this brand.

Great choice for the acrylic painter. Still learning all the options and uses. Wonderful to have something for the slow, detained painter.
Acrylics will never be the same again. Chroma Atelier Interactive Professional Artists Acrylic paint is both "traditional" and "revolutionary". Interactive, when used in conjunction with a simple water sprayer, can be kept wet and workable for as long as needed to complete and unify a painting — then dries rapidly as desired. It can even be "reopened" weeks and months later with the use of Unlocking Formula.
Chroma Atelier Unlocking Formula allows artists to "open" their Chroma Atelier acrylic paint any time they want - even weeks after paint has dried! This video will show you what can be achieved in your painting with the use of this special medium.
See Atelier Interactive acrylic paint in action. Internationally renowned artist Mitch Waite shows how Atelier Interactive acrylics can be used in traditional acrylic techniques or "re-opened" even days after the paint is dry for blending colors, removing paint and other special techniques.
