After years of working with watercolor, I have been trying other water mediums, including very old acrylic paints in my cache. After researching this product, I bought a set and am working with them now. I like them a lot and find they are just as advertised. The paints and medium work a bit differently from regular acrylics, but a extremely versatile. The colors I have are wonderful and am looking to forward to purchasing a larger range of this brand.

I did have trouble with the transparent yellow which I can't hardly get out of the tube as it is too stiff like maybe dried out. The other colors are creamy and handle real well. [...] has a site to sign up for a newsletter which gives you a lot of lessons on using them. They do dry rather dull which I feel you can varnish later. I'm giving them a try because of oil odor.

I really enjoyed the acrylics and using the mediums with them provided a unique experience with this brand of paints. The set I received was advertised as being 20ml tubes. But most of the tubes actually contained about 12ml of paint. One of the tubes contained less than 12ml and only one tube was completely full. So I'm hesitant to purchase more of this brand although I'm thrilled with its quality and potential.

You keep misting these with water to keep them workable, but it's a little more complicated than that. I bought these based on a review that they were easy to adjust to...uh...NO!

First of all, I don't see that these stay so much more workable than any acrylic you keep misting.

Second, the paint straight out of the tubes is almost unworkable. It is plastic-y and thick; I had to fight with it to get it on the brush and then trying to get it onto the canvas was a struggle. Thinning with water produced something that would transfer from brush to canvas, but the coverage was awful. When mixed with the retarder the paint became more like other acrylics I have used in terms of texture and workability.

Third - the accelerator did not seem at all effective.

Fourth - The caps were clumsy to get on and off, at least in the small sample set I was using. A small annoyance, but as long as I am annoyed I might as well be thorough.

Lastly, the unlocking medium didn't do much for me.
I am going to keep trying these, though I dread the thought...maybe I will get used to them...but they are just so bizzare I wonder if it is worth it to re-learn acrylics just for this one line.

Great acrylic with high pigment content. Very versatile. By using the fine mist sprayer you can keep the acrylic wet and workable for about 3 to 4 hours, if paint gets touch dry, just spritz it right on the canvas. If you want it to set-up . . . just don't use the mister . . . you can go on layering or scumbling. Found this really works well for any type of technique. Well worth it! Switching out all of my acrylics to Interactive. [@]
