Now available in a fine tip style, Chartpak Ad Markers feature waterproof, permanent, solvent-based ink in a variety of brilliant colors.
The cone-shaped precision nib on Chartpak Fine Tip Ad Markers holds its shape, resists "mushrooming," and provides a consistent line width for detail work, lettering, and outlining. The marker's non-feathering, non-streaking ink is also great for blending, shading, and covering large areas.
From crisply articulated tight comps to architectural renderings to expressive art, Chartpak Fine Tip Ad Markers are the markers to choose for professional performance.

Chartpak Fine Tip Ad Markers
from Columbus, Oh
I would recommend these to anyone, novice or professional! I normally prefer to use charchol/graphite pencils to draw and was looking for a change in mediums. The Chartpak Markers happen to be available at a discounted price and for the prestine quality, variety of colors and amount of markers, I would have expected to pay double or triple! They're marketed as Advertisement Markers and are very heavy (bleed) but using a mixed media sketchbook or drawing paper fixed that issue. My only complaint is the heavy smell they produce, but when working with any high quality markers, one should expect this. 5 out of 5
Good for caricatures
from Milwaukee, WI
I'm a professional caricature artist and I've used these since they stopped making markette markers. It's hard to find black markers with pointed tips. This cone shaped one is nice, it's easy to get varying line weights.

I needed several boxes of markers for my business, shipped to an event address that was a little tricky. Not only were the markers a great value, but they were shipped and arrived on time - just when I needed them! DB saved my weekend business!

I LIKE THE NIB, BUT THEY DRY OUT FAST WITH EXPOSURE TO AIR
By Caricature Artist
from Kansas City
In search of a new marker (since my favorites were discontiued), I tried this marker out for my caricature business.I like the nib but before my 3 minute drawing is up the marker dries out and I am forced to change markers. It revives a little after the cap is back on for awhile and it is set tip down. Cheez.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Not Too Bad
By Rich Caricatures
from Tampa, FL
I draw caricatures for a living, and ever since Design Marker stopped producing the marker we all loved we've been looking for an alternative. A lot of artists around the country are using these and seem to like them. My personal experience has been that the start out juicy, and then about half way through the sketch it's already drying up. As a result you are forced to push pretty hard to get a good line. I guess if you have a heavy hand you will like this marker fine.I'm gonna stick to the Artist Pitt Pen myself.

The Black P100FP is a better buy. Nice Solid Black. Just 1x to make the are as a solid black. The only thing is the fumes are hard to handle. It the manufacturer gets rid of the fumes it would be a better product to work with. The P98FP is ok but it spreads to much.
Best Markers on the market

There's only one thing to say about these markers -- They're the best you can buy.
The new Caricaturist's marker...
Just like the guy before me, I use them in my Caricature work along with my Pentel Pocket Brush Pen. I personally think that Chartpak makes the best markers out of anyone for any artistic use. I only wish it had a bit more flex to the tip...
These markers are my favorite
from Portland Oregon
I enjoy using the fine tipped black Chartpaks for my caricature stand because they allow for such graceful line variance which adds to the overall fluidity of my pieces. They are also good for figure drawing, contour drawing, and even shading. The only issue is that sometimes they appear to be out of ink unless you turn them on their tops and store them that way for awhile.
These waterproof, permanent, solvent-based markers deliver brilliant color in fine, medium, or broad strokes. This video will show you a couple of tips and tricks when using these professional quality markers.
