I love the fact that there's only one nib that can create different widths. The color laydown is extremely smooth and fluid. Make sure you are using marker paper or an absorbant paper as these markers are extremely fluid. Some of the color bled out of my lines the first time I tried it. Love the colors, I wish they'd make all the colors for their fine tip as well. I know the smell of xylene isn't really good for you but I love the smell. Should have gotten the 130 color instead of the 100. Still, it's a good buy for the price.

We are a Furniture Design Company and we rendered our drawings with Chartpak as they give us the best results with accurate matching capabilities. If the furniture looks good in paper we sell. We manage the office on a budget, therefore, the price and life time of the markers is a determinant factor when puchasing supplies. The only disadvantange a find is the smell of the markers.

Chartpak ad markers are awesome! They blend well, they are nice and "juicy" and you can get at least 3 tones deeper with just one marker. Excellent coverage as well. Really good for flesh tones too. The only thing is, it's really difficult to do super fine detail with them, it is possible, but it takes practice! Overall I think they are excellent artist markers. Good price on Blick too!

The Chartpak blender marker provides the fastest and least messy way to make a fast solvent transfer. Take a color or b&w copy of your preferred image-it must be made on a laser or Xerox copier (NOT on your ink-jet). Turn the copy over, so that it is face down, onto a piece of paper or fabric. Using the Chartpak marker, press down hard and run the marker over the back of the copy so that it really wets it and you can see through it. Depending on the substrate and quality of copy, how hard you press and if you keep the copy in place when you press, when you pick up the transfer itself you should have a reverse transfer. You must use the clear, blender marker, not one with color.
