Most of my work is done in watercolor, ink and graphite. Bought this because of it's size, but was rather disappointed. Not durable for excessive amounts of watercolor. The way it holds graphite and charcoal was a bit unusual as well. Paper and texture are very important to me. The quality of the paper is average. Overall, this product was okay.
I much prefer Strathmore 300 Series Mixed Media Pads.

I teach art at a private Christian school and also have been products sampler and advisor for an online art class . We use acrylics as well as Prismacolor pencils and also watercolor pencils of all kinds and copics etc. Let me say to the person(s) who complained that the pages warp and buckle under gesso, acrylic and watercolor that yes that can happen and does. However, you can let it dry thouroughly and then shut the book and put a book on top for weight and give it a day or two to flatten out again. Using gesso really helps keep watercolor and acrylics from tearing the pages or leaking through. This is not proper watercolor paper so it will absorb a lot of fluid without a coat of gesso. Markers bleed through and especially copics. But you can always paint over the backside of the page after using anything that bleeds through. It just takes a little planning ahead and the knowledge that anything you use on the backside of an already finished page that was not first coated with gesso will be ruined if you use a very wet application or markers. For the price you can not beat it as an art journal after knowing it's limits. 98 pound paper just can not hold up under very wet applications no matter what brand it is. It is a super paper for doing a personal art journal. I have bought many.

I bought one of these books and liked it so much I bought 3 more, since I do art journaling and have several books going at once to let media dry between stages. While the pages curl when I gesso, they flatten once dry or if closed with wax paper in between pages. Sheets have a smooth, flexible feel to them, which I enjoy, and withstands layers of acrylic paint, spray ink, oil pastels, gel medium/collage and markers quite well. However, for the first time last night, I sprayed with water and the fibers started to come off, when trying to spread Tim Holtz stains.
Overall, a good book, but not for overly wet media.

Well, I haven't actually begun to use the product yet, but if it's as wonderful as everyone else I've heard of that use it, I just know I'll have no problems, only fun!

These pads are great for my budding artist. She loves working in acrylics, and is very prolific. The quality of the paper ensures that her work is on quality, acid-free paper (in case I want to save it), and number of sheets in this pad is great for a great price. A good student (or fridge) quality paper, but not for serious artistic endeavors. It does tend to warp and bubble when it gets really wet, so if you are working mostly in watercolors, get something else.

I use these pads with the Faber Castell Artists Pens and the paper doesn't allow the pens to bleed through and allows the pens to leave clean crisp lines without bleeding. Nice quality!

I've been using this paper for a lot of different projects, and I'm so happy with it's performance! The paper has a really smooth texture which goes especially well with the Derwent Inktense pencils. I like this paper so much that so far I've purchased two of the pads, one is being used for an art journal which mainly combines collage and watercolor. The other I'm using to create poetry books that are illustrated with Derwent Inktense Pencils. This paper also works great with acrylic paints. I'm very happy with the paper, the one downfall of it is that the paper doesn't withstand scrubbing techniques that much so sometimes when I watercolor the paper tends to bead up a little bit. Other than that though this paper is a great choice; it's a great bargain and very versatile. I plan on getting more of these pads!

This sketchbook comes in different sizes and has the best texture for pen, pencil, and markers. It doesn't smudge the graphite when you close it and my markers dont run as bad as some other sketchbooks. Much cheaper too!

I love this paper! Its so durable! I spray 3 coats of Krylon gesso spray onto the paper then I use oil paints on it! YES it does hold oil paint! Dick Blick, please sell the 18x24in. pad size on here! Thanx.
