Welcome to dickblick
This semi-transparent, acid-free white marker paper is great for drawing or design work, from rough sketches to finished presentations. It accepts both alcohol-based and solvent-based marker ink with no bleedthrough, yet responds beautifully to pens and pencils, too.

Comments about Canson XL Marker Pads:
I mostly use this as scratch paper or for quick sketches, as alcohol marker ink tends to sit on top and after going over the layers, it can lift the ink up instead. I wouldn't recommend if you're trying to blend heavily or if you have something you plan on spending a lot of time and effort on.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great marker paper
Very nice marker paper, holds the color well, easy to use.
Love this marker paper!
from New Jersey
I just love this marker paper. I used it for calligraphy practice with all types of markers, gel pens and ink. Tombow, Zig and Pentel brush markers stand up well on this paper. I even use sumi and walnut ink with a dip pen...no bleed through and no feathering. Love it...
Made a great gift
from East Moline, IL
I gave this gift to a close friend for Christmas. He uses a lot of Copic brand sketch markers on his art, so this was the perfect present for him. He says, "It hold the marker well and doesn't bleed through the paper."

Smooth and great for color blending
I had art markers but I never had paper pads just for markers until I get this product. I love how marker moves smoothly on the sheet and so color blending is much easy. Also no ink stain on the next page, which is nice that I don't have to remove the paper from the pad to draw.

Great for marker work, no bleeding
By Alex the Rambler
from Durham, NC
This was just the sort of paper I was looking for now that I have started using markers for my drawing. These sheets are nice and smooth, take inking pens and markers well, and have no bleed through despite the thinness of the paper. My only wish was that the paper was slightly thicker anyway.

I use this paper for calligraphy practice. It's translucent, takes all inks and is smooth
Great for Calligraphy
from Orlando, FL
These papers are great for calligraphy beginners. It is not only transparent (therefore you can put it on grid lines and easily see them) but does not bleed as well. The only issue is that you can write only on one side of it. The back side does not accept the ink as good as the front side.
Canson 9x12 Marker Pad
By Cass with the Markers

I got the marker pad over the holiday season last year. The pad itself was falling apart, with pages not even glued on correctly. However, I contacted the customer service and they sent me a new pad in perfect shape. I must say that I've always been impressed with blicks' products, even though I normally can order from them once or twice a year due to financial reasons. But so far, the marker pad is one of my favorites. It's extremely smooth, handles erasing quite well, and can not only handle markers (Copic and Prismacolor), but colored pencil as well. I wouldn't recommend any other mediums with it (Such as paints of any kind), as it buckles and warps the paper. But this was a pleasant surprise for its price, and I quite enjoy it.
