I wanted to make old-fashioned photo albums for my family, and I looked at many different products. These simple, sturdy albums are the best out there for the job. The paper holds photos excellently and the entire book is well-constructed and holds up (unlike the flimsy paper of the albums my parents had). It's great for writing on, too. I've been using these for years and wouldn't consider anything else. I like the neutral oatmeal background, although a black cover for contrast would be nice (that's just a quibble, though).

For the creative person, who wants to embellish, this is a good, basic scrapbook. Though the color is a bit dreary, it is easy to draw on with colored pencils, and the paper is thick enough to happily accept glued photos. The only difficulty I had was, after drawing all over the cover, I decided it would be wise to spray fixative to protect the cover from fingerprints & damage to the pencil drawing, as I normally would on white drawing paper. The fixative unfortunately darkened & stained the surface (unevenly)...So I do NOT recommend fixative. Other than that, and the murky color, this scrapbook was perfect for my purposes.

I will be using this album for my Adoption Family Profile Scrapbook. Most scrapbook stores do not carry this type of scrapbook in this size. I want to be able to embellish and create without any restrictions and this book allows me to do that. I even received it a day earlier than expected which was exciting.

The product will be used as part of my photo image portfolio. There is enough space to provide info of the image and the paper is perfect for applying and enhancing the image. Yes, I would buy this product, again.

I came across this scrapbook by accident when I was looking for a sketchbook with tinted paper. The oatmeal colored paper is a nice heavy weight and the perfect color for highlighting. It is ideal for pen & ink, watercolor,gouache and even pastels. It was a great discovery and has become my favorite sketchbook.

I am a veteran teacher and have used this sketchbook/scrapbook for several years as a standard in my 2-D Design class. There is no - no - other product like it, in that it allows students to use it both as a scrapbook and as a mixed media painting/sketchbook. I can't understand why the suppliers have cut back on the availability and the sizes as well as the black vs oatmeal paper. This item is a complete gem and there is no other surface out there that I have found, that allows the creativity and diversity of this WONDERFUL sketchbook/scrapbook. PLEASE, bring back size and color variations and keep this a standard in the catalog!

Okay, I know this is sold as a scrapbook, but I use mine for drawing. The paper is so thick and sturdy, and I love the warm color. It gives a rich look, and it's ideal for creating drawings heightened with white paint, Conte or pastel. The paper allows for mixed media with acrylic, ink, or watercolor, and holds up to a lot of erasing. The only real trouble is how difficult it can be to find this item!

I said "best in its category" because, as far as I know, it's the only one in its category at all. I looked for years for something similar when I couldn't find these scrapbooks, and have never found anything with comparable paper.
