Comments about Canson Mi-Teintes Touch Sanded Papers and Boards:
I am no longer able to find this product at my local art store and I am happy that Dick Blick carries such a nice assortment of this product. I love it for being able to layer and blend colors as it is not as gritty as some pastel surfaces which can tear up your pastels. I like working with the darker sheets as they make the colors pop! I have used this product for portraits, still life and landscapes.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

MiTeintes Touch sanded pastel paper
I have used MiTeintes Touch with colored pencils and pastels. This paper has a toothy surface allowing for many layers of either medium. Very economical as compared to UArt or other similar brands.

It is really a learning curve to use sanded paper.....it will take some practice before I have this conquered but I do love the multiple layers that are achievable on the sanded paper

This paper is hight quality. Use it for all my commissions!
from Edwardsville, IL
I have been so pleased to find this paper at Dick Black for a fraction of what local art stores offer. It is head and tails above other papers. It has a think quality and the sanded surface is not overdone. I did not feel my oil pastels ran down any faster as I was concerned it would do. This is a quality product that I can give to my clients knowing they have a keep sake that will last a lifetime and more.

I am new to using pastels , but I really enjoy painting with them! The Mi Tienes sanded paper is a great surface to work on! I love all the colors to work on too!
from Hot Springs, AR
I use this paper for my pastel drawings, and the fine tooth of the sanded paper works perfectly! It holds on to the chalk very well and is very affordable!
Love this paper
from Enfield NH
This lightly sanded paper can take layers and layers of pastel, yet allows the artist to rub or blend on the surface without damaging their fingers.
Perfect for chalk pastels. Much better value than anything I could find. Arrived quickly and was excellent quality. I have already been referring artist friends.
from West Chester, PA
I love the colors but I thought the tooth on these sanded papers was not worth the expense. Kind of rubbery and doesn't hold the color.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

My new go-to paper!
from Epping, NH
I've always used U-Art sanded or Colourfix papers, but I love this paper! Velvety touch and it takes lots of layers like a champ.
