The paper itself is great. i use it as a mat for painting I do on feathers. the only problem i have is with the packing process it gets pretty dinged and dented and then I can't use it as well.

Comments about Canson Mi-Teintes Pads:
If you need colored paper in pads for colored pencil work, this is it. What I'd like to see is pads with a single color, like gray and tan. They seem to be unavailable anywhere. I bought these pads because I needed the gray paper.....currently have no use for the rest of it but single color pads are not available.

Value studies before your watercolor master piece ?
from Washington, DC
Flannel grey is a perfect color. Add white and black watercolor to do a perfect value study before committing things to color an more expensive paper.
Very good paper

One of the best choice for a pastels drawing
Excellent Paper for pastels or colored pencils or drawing
By Tom, pencil artist
from Albany, NY
There are several companies that make pastel papers but I think the best quality for the value is with Canson Mi-Tientes. I and my students use these papers not only for pastels but also for graphite and colored pencils. They are very workable in the sense you can usually put down a few layers of color. They are good for any dry medium.
