Ordered by accident
I ordered this by accident, meant to get the Mi-Teintes "TOUCH" paper...big difference. I prefer a sanded surface to work on. I'll make this paper work for sketches but that's about it.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Finally found the paper I've been looking for!

We use this product in our door signs ... for its sturdiness (while still being flexible), color and overall quality.
Was exactly what I expected!

Much better than any sort of traditional construction paper for displays.
Excellent for drawing
By J loves art
This paper is recommended by several of the drawing teachers at the art school I attend. I use the flat side for charcoal and either side for colored pencil, pastel, and drawing pencils. Most of the other papers used in class are much more expensive but the results are comparable. Some of the other students have used it with watercolor washes and ink and have gotten good results. My favorite colors are moonstone and sky blue for portraits and figures. Other students love pearl, buff, white, cream, flannel grey, eggshell, oyster and sand. Try it, I bet you'll like it.
This is one of my favorite papers for colored pencil.

This my go to paper when I want to use a toned paper for my colored pencil projects. It have nice tooth and comes in great colors.
Great for book making
I took an art class in college which used this paper for cover stock while making models of different binding methods. It works very well as a cover for single-signature notebooks and can easily be decorated with pen or pencil. I plan on making more as gifts. We also used it to practice covering mat board for hard book covers and then assembling those models. It's an economical way to practice the folding and gluing, rather than using book cloth on the first few tries. But I think you could make nice custom covers by drawing on this paper, sealing it, and covering book board. Canson has a nice variety of colors available, so it's easy to create sets, complement end papers, etc. Just make sure you fold with the grain! ;)
Canson's range of dual surface papers offer not only quality and versatility but are also economical. This video will introduce you to each of these special sheets.
