Solid 100% cotton paper for silkscreen printing
By J Everett Morton
from DeKalb, IL
Comments about Canson Edition Drawing Pads:
Bought a sheet of this to compare against 1618 Arnhem and Utrecht American Printmaker's. I was doing a 2-color silkscreen print on each. All performed about the same. The Arnhem was 320 gsm opposed to the 250 gsm of the Canson, but the Canson still held up really well. My only complaint was that I went with the Antique White and for my taste (and with the image I was printing) it was too yellow. That is just my preference and it was something I had to see for myself in person.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great inexpensive paper for printmaking students

A good priced paper for my printmaking students. Also great for proofing etching plates, good embossment. I prefer the antique white.
Great for Printmakers

Great paper for Printmaking. It takes the ink very well, the paper is nice and thick, and i love the slight texture it has. It has not let me down yet.
Nice Economic Printmaking Paper
By Chris the Printmaker
from Modesto, CA
This semester, I have started taking an Intaglio class. My professor has this list of reference papers by type and printmaking application. Realistically, the best papers are the ones that soak in water really well. Cotton-rag paper is the way to go, but upon a recommendation by a student who had used this paper before, I jumped on it and had ordered quite a lot of this paper which I believe will last me the semester. Man, I did a test print with a past plate borrowed from this friend, and the paper kept shape and didn't rip when soaked and raked correctly. It held nice detail and dried unwrinkled. This paper is really nice to draw on. The tooth is fairly smooth but not copy paper smooth, but not as rough as sandpaper. This was a good buy, and I'll definitely be buying more, If I don't run out.

I have used only once for now, but am pleased, I'd recommend this if anyone needed so.

I bought this product for my printmaking class. We're doing screenprints, and this paper is amazing. It is a thick paper which is good because it doesn't bend a lot and it helps give your prints (or any other artwork) a professional look. I mainly use this paper for screenprinting, however I can also see myself using this product to make watercolor and ink wash drawings.

Great product, great prizes!
I've been using this paper for a long time. Great having two different structures in one paper. It's solid paper too! Well made and worth every "penny". Normally I make prints with extreme high grade of detail, and I've found this paper to be perfect for that. On the other hand, if I wish to make a more rough print I have the option using the same paper, and save a lot of money.
Canson's range of dual surface papers offer not only quality and versatility but are also economical. This video will introduce you to each of these special sheets.
