Great product. Wish there was a hardcover 60 pages or more.
Comments about Canson Classic Cream Drawing Pad:
I purchased 4 of these since there are not so many pages. My daughter's favorite is the hardcover with many pages. The hardcover makes it easy to take as a sketch book when you are drawing on your lap. Then it doesn't bend. Thanks for a great product. Look forward to seeing more choices.

WAY BETTER than strathmore 400
from Milestone Mark, ZU
Good weight at 90 lb., much better than Strathmore 400.
from Sarasota, FL
Purchased this for fine, pencil drawings. The paper is a little smoother than the Strathmore and a little more cream color. Very nice indeed.

This is my favorite sketchbook
By Gonzo Bean
from Pawleys Island
This is an excellent sketchbook. I like the 11x14 size the best and prefer the top wire binding. The color is very nice--a soft cream rather than stark white. Not all my sketches work out, but sometimes they do and I know they're on a good acid free paper.

My favorite sketchbook
After trying many different sketch books, this is the one I keep returning to this one. A lot of times a sketch doesn't work out but when it does you know it's on acid free paper, so it won't disintegrate

Terrific sketching paper for graphite!
I love using Classic Cream paper for sketching. It takes graphite pencil wonderfully well and allows for excellent detail. The paper has a very slight grain that adds elegance to the artwork and is very consistent from sheet to sheet. A welcome relief from the somewhat rough texture of most sketchbook papers. Five stars!

Not so good for colored pencils
from New Jersey
This heavyweight paper is ideal for pen and ink drawings. It's sturdy and takes erasures well. It claims to have a medium tooth surface, but it's much closer in qualifying for light tooth. My problem with this paper is that it's surface seems to have a slight sheen-like finish which somewhat prevents colored pencils from achieving a solid laydown and/or the layering of colors. It's almost like coloring on the back of posterboard. There are better values out there for dry media drawing pads.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Paper holds pencil and charcoal well
from Radford, VA
About Me Artist, Student
Paper isn't bad at all; it holds its shape, doesn't warp or stretch, has a tougher than average surface, and has amazing consistency.
