Canson Illustration Drawing pads
By Mattimus Maximus
from Ft.Bragg, CA
Comments about Canson Artist Series Illustration Pads:
I do a lot of work from my own drawings and photos to turn images into b&W line art so I can then turn into vector files on my Mac. This is the first product I've used that is translucent enough to put on a light table and will take a pen and NOT bleed. Years ago, I used Canson Airbrush pads...regrettably, this is no longer available. It was great! But, this is a great replacement for me and I'm glad I found it.

Used to working in acrylic paints, watercolors, colored pencils. and computer graphics, I thought I would try markers, as well. I found the paper to be sturdy and not much bleeding. I think this is the perfect paper to practice and try new ideas on. For putting into my commercial work, I may try a more pricey paper.

Good stuff at a good price
By Viking Myke
Pretty close to perfect paper for me. Stands up well to erasing and allows me to do incredible amount of detail work without ripping or tearing. Wish it was a tad thicker as at times i will blast paint over the top of some drawings and it warps some-

The paper holds up well to repeated layers of marker. It has a wonderfully smooth surface and colors do not bleed through. It is easy to create both blended and non blended images. Great marker paper. I think if would be great for ink and tech pens too.
Perfect for ink drawings.

The nice, thick cardstock-like pages are perfect for drawing with ink pens. Doesn't bleed through.

I love these pads from canson. The weight is great for my pens (pigmamicron) and not too heavy. The perforations make it easy for when im done and need to remove the page from the pad.The pages are smooth and allows for mixed media.Great product.

This pad is great for all types of drawing and illustration, especially pen and ink with wash or watercolor, which is what I use it most often for. Great price too!

The width and height of the product is great. The paper is high quality and does not have that grain texture. It works with makers and drawing pens in many ways possible. It lets you tell a story with a great image already in sight just by the space provided.
high quality, great for Ink.

I use these pages instead of Bristol board for cartooning. They don't bleed they hold washes pretty well and they are very reasonably priced. I used to use very expensive Strathmore bristol and I feel like the Canson illustration board is just as good.
Excellent paper for colored pencils and

Good, heavy paper whose surface takes pencils of every type I've used excellently. I've had no problems with markers myself, but I don't use markers very much. However, I do know pencils and this paper handles wax, oil, and graphite pencils; takes a lot of abuse. I have no issues with this product. It takes fine detailing, broad strokes, even blending pencils with mineral spirits. Try it!
