Was looking for extra brown shades
from La Crosse
I bought a 120 set of Faber-Castell Polychromos. While ordering I also ordered a few extra brown oil pencils to hopefully fill in the space all sets have. Even after my pencils arrived I an still missing a pencil the color of a yellow Lab dog. My hunt continues.

This brand of color pencil is really smooth - blends well and layers very nice Works well with other pencils from other brands
I would buy this product again.

I only have 1 of these so far.
High Quality & Great Fit For Me
I love how this pencil glides across the paper so much that I often use these pencils for layout and broad, flowing sketches. Nice pigmentation and I don't get any wax bloom. I'm sure some may think these pencils are too lightweight, but I like it. I also find the consistency of the lead to be just right - not too buttery and not too hard.

I attempted to order online but had some trouble, I called and the service person was great! He figured out what I needed, placed the order and really went out of his way to do something I could have done myself. The pencils are amazing. Thank you again for all of your help! I'll be back.

I bought single pencils of these
from NEW YORK
I color adult coloring pages and teach a class. I like how the color goes down on the paper and blends well but the pencils break when sharpening them. I have several kinds and they are the only ones that break. I don't know if they were handled roughly before they were shipped but I am disappointed in them. If they didn't break they would be fantastic. I would warn a friend that there might be a problem with breakage.

Perfect for all artists
By Victoria Armour Hollins
from Tucson, AZ
Bruynzeel pencils are highly pigmented, bold and smooth colors. I use them on birch panels as well as paper and they preform wonderfully on both. They have a very consistent and gliding type of feel to them as they move across a surface. They also come in compact in an impressive and box set with foam lined drawers that slide in and out. If you get multiple Bruynzeel sets then you can stack them up, which saves desk space and keeps them organized. They are also very lightweight, because the leads are encased in cedar wood. Despite the pencils being thin, I've never had problems sharpening them, or the lead breaking inside the pencil. Which means you waste less pencil in the sharpener and have more to use for art. My favorite thing about them is that they do not bloom like other wax-based pencils. They do not show the directionality of their stroke, and are very easy to layer. This means that even though there are only 48 colors, the possibility of mixing and making your own are endless. Perfect for professional artists, but also a great beginning set for students or artists just starting out. All around a high quality pencil and great company.

Not my favorite
from Central NY
These are nice colored pencils but they are not my favorite brand. I have been testing out different brands of colored pencils and different brands and types of paper to see what I like the best. These pencils are fine. It is just my personal preference that I don't particularly care for their feel on the paper I have tested them on. My opinion could change as I use them more, and perhaps on a different brand or paper.
