Comments about Moore Braided Picture Wire:
I am very pleased with Dick Blick products and have used them for years. I frame all my own artwork, having learned from working in an art gallery and framing many pieces for large galleries in Aspen, Colo, so I know a good quality when I see it.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

its good, but yes, its uncoated and sharp
from California, USA
I purchased this hanging wire on the quest to experiment with a variety of different hanging methods and hardware for canvas paintings. This wire is good for what it is -- uncoated wire. Yeah, its rough. Yes, you can possibly cut up your hands. But that's what it is. This shouldn't be a surprise. The benefit? It ties/winds beautifully and does NOT unwind (opposed to most "coated" wires). But does the pro outweigh the con? Maybe, depending on the coated wire you're comparing it with. However, in searches I did find what I feel is clearly the best coated professional hanging wire that doesn't unwind -- similar to un-coated wires -- yet is still smooth and easy to work with due to the coating. It took a while to find, but that's the wire I use for my paintings....not this rough, uncoated stuff.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Okay, but difficult to cut
from Western North Carolina
I found the wire difficult to cut, but otherwise easy to handle and of good quality.
I like this product and use it regularly

I use this wire to attach to the back of the Eco frames on the triangle loops that are fastened to the backing of the frames. The wire works well and can make it secure for hanging. I wrap masking tape over the twisted ends as to protect the wall and peoples hands when hanging my art work.
Better than what I get locally

There are more expensive and higher quality wires available but I was surprised how nicely this wire works and feels. It is smoother and I get fewer wiry finger pokes when I use it. I would like larger coils instead of buying small packets.
