Welcome to dickblick
The smooth, hard surface of Paris paper is a convenient and economical alternative to bristol board. Brilliant white, crisp, and bleedproof, it is the ideal surface for detailed pen-and-ink illustrations rendered for reproduction with crowquill pens, broad drawing pens, calligraphy, or fountain pens.
Each pad contains 40 sheets.

Comments about Borden & Riley Paris Bleedproof Paper For Pens:
I am a professional gag cartoonist. Borden and Riley's Paris Bleed-proof is by far the best paper for me, and after using it for twenty years, I can tell you that it remains bright and white. I stopped using any other paper.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great Paper with Copics!
from Prospect, Ohio
I remember seeing this product used by a concept artist on YouTube. I did pay a little more than I wanted to for it, but I wanted to get the best paper for my new Copic Ciao markers. The Copic marker ink does not bleed as much, but it did take getting used to. It was nicely saturated within the paper and took layers of ink. I wasn't sure about using smooth paper, but I began to like the product as I worked with it.

Love this paper

Working with pens and markers can be a mess if you don't use the correct paper. This is such a great product. I even love "feeling" the page.
Over 26,000 pen & ink illustrations since 1988!
from Highland Park, IL
The majority of my illustrations; are done on this paper! No other paper, of this weight accepts the ink better, is bleed proof and well worth the price. I will use no other.

Great paper, various different pens and ink don't bleed on it. Lighter weight than bristol, perfect for scanning illustrations.
Bright, clean, but not bleedproof
By Malcolm Zachariah
from Oklahoma City, OK
I bought this a while ago and like the white matte color and using my Prismacolor and Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph pens, but it's not bleedproof... I found out the hard way with a new set of Copic markers, which quite easily bleed through if you do more than a few layers. What's worse is that I wrote a label on the back of one drawing and found it bled through to the front. I can't imagine what strongly bleeding pens like Sharpies would do on this paper.

I've tried my share of paper that would work well with extensive alcohol based marker work. This is my go to paper and it's never failed to produce the desired results. I've never had bleeding outside the lines. I use this paper almost exclusively in all of the alcohol marker classes I teach. The only draw back is that it doesn't accept colored pencils well (using in conjuction with alcohol markers) because of the lack of tooth.

My absolute favorite paper
from Lincoln, NE
I'd like to say that I love the result I get with this paper when I do marker pieces. I've introduced several of my friends to the paper too, and they also love it. The result is a very controlled, vibrant piece. I like how it works with my technical pens as well. I tend to like to ink with those better than with nib pens. It does okay with certain pens with nibs too in my opinion, or at least the ones that I use. The only real downside to this paper is that if you do use it for marker work, it tends to soak up a lot of color, but I much prefer how I can blend color with it rather than marker paper. I feel like I'm pushing color around on marker paper, I feel like I'm actually blending properly here.
Excellent paper for sketch rendering
I specify this paper for my Advanced Graphic Techniques class at West Valley College. The quality of this paper is ideally suited for both quick pen and marker sketches as well as for multi medium final presentation renderings.
