Welcome to dickblick
The smooth, hard surface of Paris paper is a convenient and economical alternative to bristol board. Brilliant white, crisp, and bleedproof, it is the ideal surface for detailed pen-and-ink illustrations rendered for reproduction with crowquill pens, broad drawing pens, calligraphy, or fountain pens.
Each pad contains 40 sheets.

Great quality paper
from Saint Louis, MO
Comments about Borden & Riley Paris Bleedproof Paper For Pens:
I bought this to use with my copic markers and it works much better than many other marker papers I've tried. You can lay down lots of layers of color without it clerking through and it's pretty easy to blend. Only thing I didn't like was it not being spiral bound. Otherwise, terrific product
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Best marker paper (heavy-weight) out there.
My favorite paper for inking with a lightbox
from Los Angeles, CA
I make comics, and this paper is the best I've found so far for what I use it for: (mostly) bleed-proof when using inks, thin enough to use with a lightbox, thick enough not to curl too much.
I've been using this paper for years. Since Pearl Paint closed, it's been harder to find this brand/type. Use it to draw detailed pencil and pen work. Paper is tinted so its not glaringly white which is easier on the eyes. Paper quality is great too- not too too thin or stiff. My favorite paper!

Fine detail pen & ink paper

I'll keep this short and sweet.Excelent paper for using Copic Multiliners and Copic markers. There is just enough absorption to not bleed outside the areas you are working in yet you can still wet blend your markers.Only drawback: it still bleeds when using india in and a metal nip nib.

Great for Copics
from Atlanta, GA
This paper is great for Copic and other alcohol-based markers. It has a very smooth tooth and handles the ink well with very little bleed.

Pen & Nib, Nikko, Rose, Blue Pumpkin
from Ann Arbor
I have tested this paper in a couple of ways. For flourishing/calligraphy I have used the 76 Rose, 361 Blue Pumpkin, Nikko G and the paper holds up flawlessly. No feathering or bleed. I am using Yasutomo Sumi and Yasutomo waterproof inks. The paper is extremely stark white. I have added watercolor washes after the ink has dried. Light washes and dry brush it handles well. Don't expect to wet an area and then come in with a wet brush again because it will pucker. Then again there was no claim to do so. The paper meets the companies claims quite well.
this stuff is amazing
By A random dude
I've been using this paper to make a comic as an alternative to manga paper, and it's the best so far that works with my very fine dip pen nibs. Way better than bristol, anything else that I have tried. It's perfect for any kind of ink illustration, it never really clogs the nib unless you go out of your way to scratch and press hard. Very durable, too, erasing the sketches underneath is never a problem. Works great with any kind of dip pen, brushes, and sumi ink (that's what I have been using). And mechanical pencils. You can get super detailed without the ink feathering. Best stuff ever.

Perfect for pens!
from New York, NY
This is my go-to paper for illustrating. I love that the paper is so smooth and bright, and that it is bleed-proof with pens and Copic Sketch markers. Best yet, the pricing is reasonable so it feels very much like an affordable luxury!
