Bob Ross Oil Mediums are designed especially for use with Bob Ross Oil Paints, including the Soft Oil Colors. Use them in the wet-on-wet techniques demonstrated in Bob Ross's books and video programs.
Bob Ross Gesso
This water-based primer should be applied very thinly with a foam applicator, not a brush, and allowed to dry completely before you begin painting in the Bob Ross technique. 16 oz (473 ml) plastic bottle.
Because Bob Ross's technique is a wet-on-wet method, these special mediums have been developed to allow blending and mixing of colors on the canvas. They can also be used to thin other colors for application over thicker paints, much like odorless thinner. 8 oz (236 ml) can.
This slow-drying liquid oil color is specially designed to work with Bob Ross Soft Oil Colors. It adds a deep richness to floral paintings. The lush new color looks like melted opal gems. 8 oz (236 ml) can.
Mediums To Go
This assortment of Bob Ross mediums is ideal for the beginner's painting kit. It's perfect for classes and the painter on-the-go because it fits nicely into painter's boxes and cases. It contains four 4 oz (118 ml) bottles, one each of Liquid White, Liquid Black, Liquid Clear, and Bob Ross Brush Cleaner.
Oil Paint Medium
This slow-drying thinner is specially formulated to mix with the Bob Ross Soft Oil Paints so that colors will blend beautifully right on the canvas.
Warning — Bob Ross Oil Paint Medium is toxic, and is flammable. Follow safety instructions carefully. Other Bob Ross mediums are rated non-toxic, but appropriate safety precautions should be taken.

Awesome product. Be careful not to use too much. Thought I had a thin coat, did have a little running.
White liquid worked well for wet on wet painting.

The best quick way to paint

I have used liquid white since William Alexander introduced it in the 80's. I did a TV show with it and find it so useful and fun

The set of liquid white, liquid black, liquid clear, and brush cleaner is a nice way to try out several products in the Bob Ross line without breaking the bank. The liquid paints are cornerstones of the wet-on-wet technique, and the brush cleaner works pretty well. This set of four would be especially nice for beginners. They can play around with getting their base coat just right without having to buy the larger cans of each color; that way, they won't have to feel as if they've wasted a lot of money every time a painting doesn't turn out due to the base coat being too thin or thick. It does take a bit of practice and some trial and error to get it right, and this set is a great way to to just jump in and play around without worrying about how much money you've spent. It's also packaged in a way that makes it very portable, and that's always a plus.

Set of four Bob Ross mediums to go
from Clanton, AL
I used to watch Bob Ross' The Joy of Painting show everytime I could find it on tv, and it is that specific show that gave me the confidence to begin oil painting. I always believed his "Liquid White" and "Liquid "Clear" mediums were nothing more than linseed oil/Titanium White mixture and raw linseed oil, and I was reluctant to be caught up in the nonsensical hype. However, after years of painting and mixing what I believed to be my own Liquid White and getting satisfactory results I finally abdicated and ordered the Four Mediums to Go from Blick. I do not know what the mediums are made of, but I know they are not what I had believed them to be - they are far more! If you do wet-on-wet oil painting I can only advise to purchase this four pack at this great price from Blick and try for yourselves, and I guarantee you too will be amazed. I will never attempt to "mix my own" again.
