Leggo My Gesso!

I use gesso and gel in my collage/construction projects. This gesso is great and very opaquely white. Gesso may be tinted with any acrylic colors by the way. Actually, I mix it with acrylic to give my work that matte gouache look. Also use gesso instead of white acrylic regularly. The only thing I would suggest is giving this a good mix with a long knife or skewer before using because I've found it can separate, leaving clear liquid in spots.

Being gesso gives a certain "grab" to any surface, I coat the back of an object (especially if it's smooth) before gluing to a mount. Doing this enables greater adhesion.

I'm just starting to experiment with gel medium, but obviously if you're into impasto effects that would be a good one to try. A heavy body gel would be even nicer, but Blick does not offer that unfortunately. My intention is to use the gel to embed objects into.

Good and dependable products at a competitive price.
