These are very easy to set screens on, they work very well with the cord Blick sells.
16" x 20" wooden frames - unstretched
from Gasport, New York
Having just purchased a large format ink-jet to increase the size of my screen-printable area to 13" x 19", I needed larger frames to accomidate the increase. I have been a Dick Blick customer for over thirty years and continue to receive the value & quality I require! The fabric and cord I will stretch on these frames also came from Dick Blick. Thank you.
Does the job
from Brooklyn, NY
Ordered these frames to construct screens for printing. I didn't use the precut crevices as suggested, but instead staples the mesh to the frame. Works just as well. Overall a solid frame.

Very sturdy and well made at a fantastic price. No complaints at all. I use them both for myself and students with perfect results.

Good solid stuff
from Ray City, GA
For years I've bought my screens with the fabric in them but soon I had to replace the fabric. I realize that it was a lot cheaper to get them in pieces and make the screen myself. So I'm very pleased to be doing them this way. I'm now up to 14 screens.

Like some of the other reviewers, I've noticed quality control issues with these screen frames. I ordered a handful of 16x20 frames and several were actually warped on arrival. The warp caused the frame to not sit flat during printing. It's not a fatal issue, but it does make pulling a print slightly more complex. Several of the frames were also not routed properly. In fact, the groove was not as wide as the remaining frames and it appeared that the factory operator had mistakenly installed a narrower router bit. This meant that the frames would not accept the stretcher cord untilI I re-routed the grooves by hand. Again, this was not a fatal flaw. I simply had to do extra work to get the frames operational.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
