Blick's inks are made for printing on light-colored T-shirts, and other cotton or cotton blend fabrics, linen, rayon, polyester, and most other synthetics, except nylon.
They are non-toxic, non-flammable, safe for school use. These inks may also be applied with a brush to tennis shoes, tote bags, sweats, etc. and they work well on paper products, too.
We recommend this ink for screened artwork or printmaking. For best results, we strongly recommend pre-washing garments and pre-testing the color before starting a production run.
Recommended screen fabric is 74-124 mesh monofilament or 6XX to 10XX multifilament. After printing, allow to dry, then heat set with a household iron at medium heat for 3 minutes on each side or at 300°F in an oven for 3 minutes. After heat setting, garments are machine washable.
Clean screens and squeegees with soap and water. We recommend using Speedball Diazo Photo Screen Printing Emulsions as a stencil for this ink (for short runs) or solvent-adhering (water-resistant) hand-cut films.
Color Chart Note — Use this color chart as an approximation of the real color. If exact color matching is necessary, use actual samples of the materials.

Comments about Blick Water-Base Acrylic Textile Screen Printing Ink:
I bought the fluorescent magenta. Gave it a good stir with a wide popsicle stick. Used on a 160 mesh count screen. It was enough to print a 10"x10" inch design onto 120 shirts. There was enough ink left over to cover a couple dozen more. I liked the price point of the ink, saved a couple of dollars over the other name brand water based ink. I didn't find anything wrong with the product, worked as it should. I would purchase again. I am not a professional screen printer. Followed the basics on screen printing. Keep the screen flooded so that ink would not dry in your screen. There were instances where the squeegee would fall into the ink and had plenty of time to walk away and come back without the ink drying. Keep a pair of moist sponges handy, helped with keeping fingers clean while handling t-shirts.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I use this ink not only for fabric screen printing, but also for making posters. I love the colours, and it's easy to mix new colours with.

I use this product in my classroom with middle school kids. The color selection is fantastic and my students love the vibrancy of colors. Consistency of the ink is perfect to work with. I love this product and I order it every time for this project.
Work like a dream

When shopping for some inks to start screen printing I was overwhelmed by the options and decided to try the store brand first as a test...and now I have no need to try any others out! The Dick Blick inks were perfect. A great value, easy to use, smooth even coverage, and held up washing (after they were dried and cured). Glad I decided to try these out first.

I am a full time artist and textiles screen printer. I LOVE this ink. Great quality. Great workability. Doesn't dry too quickly on the screen, heat sets well. Love it. Will definitely be buying again.
Easy to use and has a good finish look.

This product was easy to use and easy to clean up. I taught my Boy Scouts how to screen print and they printed 150 t-shirts and 30 string back packs in just a few hours and were very pleased with the results.

Great for t-shirts
from Addison, IL
We have used this for school t-shirts for about 5 years now. It is easy to use and clean up. My students love helping make t-shirts for special occasions.
materials I purchased were great, but...
By half a brain artist
The materials were perfectly satisfactory, but the packaging for shipment left something to be desired. The expensive pad of paper arrived with a bent corner and the heavy jars of silkscreen ink were pretty much free rolling in the same box. It is a wonder they did not break. Breakage occurs about 1/2 the time, when I order these inks.
Made a run of 12 Hooded sweatshirts using Ulano Sta Sharp cutting film on 8XX Screen. Used black only on Neon Shirts. Everything worked perfectly. No issues, took around 40 minutes to get through the run and nothing dried in the screen (in Iowa during late fall with the heater running full blast). I would definitely say it was a success. Good Product looking forward to using it again.

we used Blick screen printing ink at my University, so I knew this was what I wanted to buy when I started to get interested in printing on my own. Easy to use and can mix well with other colors to make any that you don't already see. Yellow is the only color that is a little difficult to work with because it naturally is a color that you can see through if it's not thick enough and depending on the other colors under it. luckily if you know this, you can use it to your advantage and get some really interesting effects!!
