Our Traditionally Styled Wood Frames are made from solid pine, and each one is expertly stained and hand-rubbed to complement your home decor. Why pay for a custom-made frame when you can have quality like this for so much less? They are similar in style to our Country Classic Wood Frames, and are built in the same factory, but have a more formal finish than the Country Classics.
Each frame has a raised wood molding, which measures 2½" (6 cm) wide, and is smoothly finished. To set your artwork apart, each frame also has a natural linen liner.
Brushed Walnut — This frame has the same classic construction as the others, but it has been given a premium brushed walnut finish with a gold leaf band, elegant detailing that sets it apart from the others.
Frame Depth — The depth of a frame refers to the depth of the frame's rabbet (the cut-out area behind the frame's molding that holds your artwork in place). To find a frame that will accommodate your artwork, measure the depth of the artwork, including any matting or mounting materials, and order a frame with a depth that is, at a minimum, the same as that measured depth.
Note — Frames are sized by the opening, not by the outside of the molding. To determine the size of frame to order, measure the outside of your artwork, including mat, and order that size frame. The frame will overlap your artwork ¼" all the way around, so your artwork will fit nicely behind the frame's molding.
Color Matching — We do our best to match the color of frames, both on our website photography and in our catalogs, but differences in technology may affect the appearance of the photo on your screen. You are entitled to return, for refund or credit, any frame that does not meet your expectations. Remember that the frame size is the size of the artwork a frame is designed to hold, not the exterior dimensions.

It wasn't my first frame from Blick but this time comes much darker, almost black and the inside opening has too much clearance, required some..work. Other than this it's worth the price .

I bought this frame to see if it would work for mounting antique bible pages. I wanted a good quality frame that complimented the page but I need a low cost because I may be framing 40 or more pages. My order arrived quickly and I was very pleased with the overall look and the quality of the frame. It is perfect for the intended purpose. My only disappointment was that there was a small stain on the cloth boarder on the face of the frame. I haven't tried to clean it yet and I hope the stain can be removed.

I appear to stand alone in my disappointment with these frames. I ordered three and frankly the gold color is very much more subdued than in the photographs. The frames just look cheap. I know I can return them, but when I add the cost of my shipping to get them and the cost of shipping to return them, it just isn't worth it. I'll eventually find someplace to use them.
