Comments about Blick Studio Oil Color Sets:
I used it to paint pictures that require good blending and ITS PERFECT for the job and it dries way slower than acrylic. And my order came sooner than expected!

Great, buttery consistency
from Grand Rapids, MI
This is a fantastic deal for beginning and advanced oil painters alike. The paint mixes very nicely, has a nice buttery consistency, and covers large areas with a small amount of paint (along with gamsol/mineral spirits). I can always count on Blick products!

I intend to stick with Blick

Returning to oil after a time with acrylic, I have found that Blick's oil paints are satisfying and remind me of the oils of my youth.

Blick to the rescue

I am so glad my new oil paint set arrived in time for my next art class. Very good quality and great price as well. I plan to buy larger size next order as I sold 3 of my paintings today at a craft bazaar. So onward and upward for me and Blick.

Best product for the buck. Whether you are a accomplish art or just begining, the quality is there. You can pay a great deal more for oils. But why should you. MBS.

Very thin and too transparent
By J David Arts
from Phoenix, AZ
I've been using these for two years with my students. The white, red and yellows are especially poor quality. There is not enough pigment in the mix and they get lost and won't cover darker colors even with multiple layers - WAY too much binder in the mix.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This was my first time experimenting with oil paint. I wanted a wide range of colors, so I chose to go with the 24 color set. The product quality is much better than what I had expected before. This is a great deal.
