Quality paper, reasonable price.

Comments about Blick Studio Bristol Pads:
Beautiful paper that compares well with the more expensive brands. A reasonable price. A heavy, smooth, luxurious feeling paper, it's good for colored pencil, ink tense pencils, light watercolor, ink...almost anything you want to do with it.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Blick Bristol is the Best!

Looking for a superior quality, at a fantastic price? Blick does it again with their Blick Studio Bristol Pads! You can't go wrong with these pads. I've purchased, again, in both smooth, and vellum surface. The quality out preforms that of more expensive brands, for far less the cost, and in some cases, double the sheets. Blick will remain my "go to" brand for all my paper needs, and more. Thank you, Blick!
Great quality product for a great value.
I bought this product for use with india ink, and I am very happy with it. The paper is really smooth and heavy enough that it doesn't seep trough. Plus, you can also by two packs for the price of a single pack of another brand. Amazing product and amazing value!!

Great paper for a great price for a first time buyer.

After seeing a local artist use this type of paper I just had to try it. But I found name brands a little pricey so I picked this one. Good quality I like how my choice of medium first marker then color pencils went so sell on the page.

I used this paper for my 3D design class. It's flexible enough & sturdy enough for paper sculpture.
Provides additional options for my drawings!

Good, economical bristol, not too good for ink
By Brenda L.
from Manchester, CT
I bought a 14X17 Smooth pad of this to replace a pad of Strathmore 400 Series Smooth bristol. The paper itself felt a little thicker, so I thought it would take ink as well as the Strathmore. I use Holbein drawing ink with a brush and a dip pen, and I found that it takes the brushwork beautifully. Unfortunately, there was some minor bleeding with the dip pen that I didn't see with the 400 or even the 300 series Strathmore bristol. It also has a very slight texture to the paper, despite it being smooth and not velum.I haven't tried other mediums, such as marker, which previous reviews say this bristol handles well. From the few sheets I used, it seems like a good, economical bristol for a wide variety of projects. However, it is not suitable for dip pen work.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
