Long lasting, thick 3.8 mm leads are encased in round, lacquered California cedar casings. For easy identification, the exterior of each pencil is colored to match the core and the color name is printed on both ends.

Colorless Blender — Use this colorless blender pencil with Blick Studio Artists' Pencils to lighten colors, blend overlapping colors, and soften hard edges without cloudy buildup or adding additional color. The natural wood barrel has a clear polyurethane coating.

Without the Blick label, I wouldn't be able to distinguish these from their best competitor. Excellent texture, coverage and blending. They have all the go-to basic colors and blend perfectly with my other favorite brand. If Blick wanted to add more bling for the bucks, they could tease me with more fancy, exotic names for their colors. Yellow and Light Yellow don't do much for me, but Lemon Meringue would give me a thrill. Ha ha.

Very impressed with these pencils, both the handling quality and the selection. They were recommended in one of my botanical art books, so I tried a few. Strongly pigmented and very smooth laydown. Not as likely to break when sharpening as Some others. I am adding more of these with every order. By the way, the Cobalt blues are hard to find elsewhere. Impressive.

I've used several brands of colored pencils in the past and usually go with a brand from Great Britain. However, I gave my pencils away to a child who really appreciated them and was in the market for a new set.

The price of these really lured me in and I'm happy to say, these are a quality item. They aren't the best pencils I've used, but they are quite nice and perfectly acceptable for most people.

And at the price, they really can't be beat!

Bought for a gift for my 12 year old son. He wanted Prismacolors but being a kid and one that likes to use pencils as drumsticks ,I heard these were a close comparisson yet a bit harder,less breakable. The price was right,comes in a nice tin.Have not used them yet.

I like to draw anime-style characters and these pencils colored my drawings just right. I bought the 72 pack because it was cheaper than most brands and there was a variety of choices. Now I am glad that I did choose it.

My only trouble is blending. I am a beginner and I have no idea how to blend. I did not get the colorless blender so I am at square 1 at that part.

I certainly enjoy the recently purchased colored pencils I received from you. The color variations in my particular set are great! I have about any shade a person could possibly need. I do amateur artwork and use the pencils a lot. The only problem I have with them is the fact they don't stay sharp nearly as long as other colored pencils I have used. I will have the main colors used up faster. Overall, they do blend great and I would recommend them to anyone else. Thank you so very much. You gave me great choices to choose from.

My 4 home schooled children use these pencils for their map work and history projects. They all give these pencils a thumbs up! We have used other expensive colored pencils and have found the Blick quality comparable, yet, at an much better value! I am so happy to have stumbled on them.
