The package was really funny; the 15" board came in a ginormous box. I laughed, because my husband thought I bought a much larger board!

I purchased the smaller version after consulting Blick's excellent customer service. I draw Celtic knotwork and needed an easy, portable surface with the ability to hold the supplies I'm using on a particular product so I bought the Jullian Deluxe Tabletop Easel, the only problem is the easel, it's not exactly friendly for paper use but this board solves the problem brilliantly! I just set the adjustable size on the easel to fit the board and slide it into the narrow grooves (which seem to have been designed especially for this purpose), using two rubberbands holds the board in place with no slippage at all and on rubberband allows me to slide the board out if I need to. I'm going to purchase the larger board as well because the easel will accommodate it just as well as the smaller one and I can get my larger pieces off of the desk. All in all this is a nearly perfect combination for drawing.

I bought drawing board for the simple use of drawing. I received it and decided to use it for a watercolor piece. The board was so sturdy and the rubber band held on so nicely(granted it did have a effect of the paint but it didn't bother me.) I bought the smaller version (15" × 16") and it's price is a real deal! Also, one last note, the handle that I thought would be a burden became quite handy. I can't wait to test this out in the city :)

This helps me a great deal when I'm working away from my desk...it helps stabilize my project as I work (Pen & Ink). It's a little big for me, but is right size for larger projects.

Overall these were what I was looking for as far as being light weight and portable. The larger board is a bit too big for what I was needing though. I would have liked a size in between the smaller and larger board. One unexpected surpise was that the large board was defective. One clip is missing a rivet and when I called customer service, they were very understanding and resolved this issue for me quickly. I would still recommend this product in despite of this defective board I received.
