This canvas is made by Blick and it exceeded all my expectations. The surface is wonderful for acrylics. I found myself wanting to paint more and more, it seemed so easy. The canvas is well constructed. It arrived quickly, packaged well and in perfect condition. Since I purchased in bulk I had a great savings as well. I will purchase this product again.

I like heavy applications of paint and I find this product is very robust and excellent for this purpose. It is extremely stable to warping even when occasionally one gets drenched during a plein air session.

Not so happy with the canvas quality of some.Looks like a mix of canvaces.Had to cover with Gesso few pieces.Few were fine as is.

This canvas is a good heavyweight (so much better than 7 oz. canvas), and I appreciate the thicker stretcher bars. It is also primed with good gesso, which is rare. Unfortunately, the canvas weave is just too prominent for painting subjects with detail, and too noticable through the paint. If Blick would offer a smoother weave in this good heavier weight, they would have a winner.

I am very pleased with the quality of this canvas. The stretcher bars are solid and knot free. The 7/8" profile is a nice step up from the usual 3/4" profile even though it's only an eighth inch difference. The canvas is tight and the corners are neatly finished off. The edges are staple free so you can paint them to give it a finished appearance without the cost of a frame. Overall the construction is of high quality. I had one box of 24X30 delivered to my house where each canvas had a bad warp, all warped in the same direction, probably from something happening during shipping. I contacted Dickblick through email and they sent me a replacement box immediately without any fuss at all. All I needed to do was send the warped box back after they sent me a shipping label and they gave me plenty of time to do so, I think it was 30 days. Very good service.

Upon unwrapping the canvas I found that some had dents or impressions, or the corners were badly folded. They are gesso'd just fine, but dents are simply unacceptable.
This "premier" product is fine for studies and student work at best.
