I bought 12 of the Blick Premier 1 1/2 inch pre-stretched canvases. Inferior to prior purchases and not a lot of help from their customer service division. Sent them back and am waiting for my refund and an explanation of why the severe drop in quality. Will only buy again if sent a sample. The framing members in the back were almost 1/2 the size of the ones I bought a few months ago and the canvas was loose and dimpled-unusable. Do not buy!

I was disappointed in the canvas. It sagged and was not tightly stretched. Also the corners were sloppy. WOuld not buy again.

I ordered 18 (8x8) canvases. i5 of them had cracked edges to the canvas, and one was not stretched properly, and had a large bubble in it! I would NEVER order canvases again from this company!

great quality -- nice and heavy -- I use for mixed media acrylic pieces.

The first couple times I bought these canvases they were made in Mexico and of super quality. The last batch was made in China. On the 30" x 40" they no longer have a center bar, the wood on the frame is much lighter and of lesser quality, the canvas is rougher and not tight. I will have to use some canvas tightener and stretch out the frame with wedges to get a tight surface. The earlier version was tight as a drum. The current canvases are not terrible, but I will be looking around, in hope of finding the quality now unavailable through Blick, which is a shame, because I really like Blick.

The price is unbeatable. The quality of the frame isn't the best. There are bumps and dents where the stretcher bars are put together and over the length of the bar itself. Overall it's still a great deal for the price.
