Comments about Blick Pottery Plaster No. 1:
what did you send. I ordered Blick pottery plaster and it came in a brown sack with no, I mean no information. It was not strong enough to remove from mold after 24 hours. I tryed twice to pour up the mould. I ordered and used a sample last year and it seemed OK. I have used Blick products and usually am very happy but not this time.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I would buy this product again -

I like the pottery plaster because it dries harder and stronger than normal plaster of paris. The only downside is there are no mixing instructions. For those people who may use a small amount at a time here is the ratio that I have found that works for me: For every 8 ounces of water you will need approx. 2 1/2 Cups of Pottery Plaster.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Like this product a lot - dried quickly. Wish it had instructions for the basic mix. Found that a pretty reliable ratio is 1/2c water to 1 1/14c plaster.

Great product, but no directions
from Cedar Rapids, IA
Was surprised to see that it comes in plain plastic (not resealable) bags, with absolutely no directions. We had fairly good luck with 1/2 cup water for every cup of plaster, but I have no idea what the "correct" proportion would be. Otherwise, very happy with the product. It's quite strong, and has a smooth feel. LOVE that it can be painted or varnished.
