Comments about Blick Pottery Plaster No. 1:
The pottery plaster worked out fine but contained absolutely no mixing directions, even on the product page. Customer service had to get it somewhere online for me.

Pottery Plaster No. 1
from Wildwood, Illinois
Loved having this pottery plaster delivered to my door for a great price and reasonable postage. I usually traveled to Wisconsin to pick up my plaster and had to deal with getting it in and out of the car by myself. It is the same quality I am used to....the best for making molds. It mixes well, sets up quickly, but not too quickly, and I am anxious to pour my new molds I have made with it. The molds look great with out bubbles. I wish the packaging could be a little easier to open and reopen, like maybe putting it in a big thick ziplock bag.

from reno, nevada
what did you send. I ordered Blick pottery plaster and it came in a brown sack with no, I mean no information. It was not strong enough to remove from mold after 24 hours. I tryed twice to pour up the mould. I ordered and used a sample last year and it seemed OK. I have used Blick products and usually am very happy but not this time.

I like the pottery plaster because it dries harder and stronger than normal plaster of paris. The only downside is there are no mixing instructions. For those people who may use a small amount at a time here is the ratio that I have found that works for me: For every 8 ounces of water you will need approx. 2 1/2 Cups of Pottery Plaster.

Like this product a lot - dried quickly. Wish it had instructions for the basic mix. Found that a pretty reliable ratio is 1/2c water to 1 1/14c plaster.
