Blick Palette Knife Broken After 10 Uses
from Sedona, AZ
A few months ago, I bought this knife only for mixing oils. I liked the size and the flexibility. Since I have 3 other palette knives that I regularly use, it didn't get used very much. Yesterday, when I was mixing colors, the metal knife part split off at the welded spot that attaches it to the wooden handle. Not good. I'm willing to try another Blick knife but I would like Blick to make good on the fact that I had to replace the knife after very little use.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I painted fused glass with glass enamels and mix the enamels with these knives. The blade is flexible for mixing and working the enamel.

Perfect, simple, nice "hand-feel" great price.
Crude but useful
from Saugatuck, Mi
This pallette knife is quite small(blade is 3" long, 5/8" wide) very light. It works well for dipping a small amount of ink or paint out of a jar. It is quite flexible and the small blade is not good for scraping paint off a painting or palette. It is good for grabbing the small sheets of paper that I use. It is quite crudely made but it works for the things I do.

Just what I wanted
from Omaha, NE
Actually, I bought the item for my cake decorating needs. It works perfectly to make corrections on buttercream icing, lifting flowers to put on a cake and to move and work with gumpaste, fondant and Mexican paste small items.
