This graceful medallion style frame is crafted with impressive details, yet it has a delicate, airy quality that wont give a heavy or weighted-down look to your artwork. The Medallion Frame is suitable for matted and mounted works on paper, as well as boards or panels. The ¼" rabbet is too small for stretched canvas, and the frame's profile is too low. Choose the Medallion Frame when you want to make a work seem bigger and more spacious. Its molding is more than 4" wide, unusually wide for a low-profile frame. Note — Hanging hardware not included. Frame Depth — The depth of a frame refers to the depth of the frame's rabbet (the Note — Frames are sized by the opening, not by the outside of the molding. To determine the size of frame to order, measure the outside of your artwork, including mat, and order that size frame. The frame will overlap your artwork ¼" all the way around, so your artwork will fit nicely behind the frame's molding.
