Some of the colors in this line are terrible -- as in, they look great in the catalog and online, but when you get them they're practically colorless and dull. E.G., amethyst. I find the paint extremely difficult to get out of the bottles because the plastic is difficult to squeeze. There are a few colors I like but overall I'm not happy with these.

Great Matte Paint!

I love this paint. It is very opaque and pigment heavy.
Can cover black in one stroke. I bought these so I could do gouache-like opaque designs
in acrylic and not have to repaint my design several times to make it opaque.
This paint frees me up to paint more spontaneously in this style.

Craft Paint can really add nice touches to those water color paintings that you don't know what to do to fix. Craft Paint over dried water color on good watercolor paper is the tops. This stuff really works.

We used this product to paint a mural. The quality of the paint is wonderful and the colors are nice and crisp. Due to the size of our mural, we could have used a larger 8 oz.size. The sets are only available in the 2 oz. size.

These paints are inexpensive and of good quality. When compared to other similar craft paints, there is no comparison. The coverage of Blick Matte Acrylic is superior to other brands purchased from craft stores. Love the color range as well. There is quite a significant color shift with some colors, but this is to be expected (particularly with matte colors) and it isn't a problem for my needs.

I had been using acrylics from department stores. I needed the paint for doing detailed painting on furniture. I found that other paints would smear and they had poor coverage. Dick Blick's product has great uniform coverage for a good price. These paints cost about 80 cents more than the ones I was using, but it was well worth it. I'm greatly relieved.
