The brushes were great... for about two painting sessions.
After less than three days use, one brush is nearly disintegrated, and another is well on its way to the same fate. Store refused to accept for an exchange one week from the date purchased.

I ordered a lot of these and they have not held up to one semester of use, several of the brushes have lost all of the bristles. I am very disappointed in the quality of these brushes.

good brush butt yesterday I noticed that 3 out of then ten brushs I purchased lost 75% of their hair.I'm very disappointed. :-( I though it was such a good brush at first.

I bought 3 of these brushes and by the end of the first use it was hairless. The secon and third brushes did the same thing. I now have 3 sticks with no bristles.

I just started using those brushes and they seem very nice. I do not think they match up with the Silver Renaissance brushes I bought at the same time. However, these brushes were a little less expensive and are certainly nice quality.

I'm a professional oil painter and a bit of a brush junkie. If I have a few extra bucks (or even when I don't) I buy new brushes to try out. I paint in a classical realist style. These brushes are a great fit for my technique. They respond to my light touch, lay down the paint without picking up under layers. They can paint thin or thick. No brush can do it all, but these come close -- and for the price you can't beat 'em. I mostly use the filberts and flats. Haven't used the other shapes yet. I will be buying some rounds. I generally don't write reviews, but these brushes deserve some kudos.

I purchased a set of 5 rounds last August with a gift card my son and daughter in law sent for my birthday. I loved the feel of them and the bounce when painting. Details were easy to do, thought I had found the perfect brush until the next time I picked them up. The hair came out all over the painting surface. Some of the brushes lost every hair. I have only one brush left that is usable due to hair loss. Very dissapointed.

I am so happy with these brushes. So far I haven't been disappointed in the Blick brushes I've bought for oil/acrylic and watercolor. I bought these for oil, mainly because I balked at teh prices for other brushes in the larger sizes (size 12 and up range). This fit my budget and have been wonderful to work with on portrature and blending details in other works. They are a great companion to the Blick/Winsor Newton oil brushes and the smaller size Blick Masterstroke brushes.

I always used mongoose brushes before I started using these red sable Masterstroke brushes. I won't buy any other kind since I started using them.
They hold up better than any other brush I have used. I love the long handles. The brushes keep there shape really well.
Cleaning them is much faster and they are so soft. These red sable brushes By Blick are fantastic and the price is very affordable.
