Welcome to dickblick
Redesigned to meet the standards of our other Masterstroke brushes, this professional grade of Golden Taklon is carefully engineered with tapered filaments to mimic the belly and point of natural hair. A mix of diameters gives artists a brush with great control, point and absorbency that is exceptionally easy to clean.
Each brush features a natural wood handle with a matte black finish and seamless stainless steel ferrule that complies with non-hazardous standards. A great choice for watercolor painting, portraiture or other fine work in oils or acrylics.
Brush sizes — The length and width of a brush of a given shape and size may vary by manufacturer as brush sizes are not standardized. Since fine art brushes are handmade, expect some variation even among brushes from within a single brush line.

Great quality brushes
Comments about Blick Masterstroke Golden Taklon Brushes:
I go through a lot of brushes painting on rough wood. These brushes are soft enough for great detail. And lasted the longest. I will be purchasing more

My art instructor recommended these brushes and I am really glad he did! I like using them and will throw away some of my old brushes and use the new ones most of the time. They are great.

Like this brush a lot. It retains its shape, no hairs going every which way. Nice blend of stability and softness. Would buy again.

You just can't go wrong with Blick Golden Taklon Brushes!!
By Laura Sue

Haven't used Blick in quite a while, but recently retired. Was so glad to return to a "friend" who I knew would supply me with great products at a reasonable price. The brushes were replacements, specific sizes and textures needed for a planned project. You just can't go wrong with Blick Masterstroke Golden Taklon Brushes, and the shipping was very fast.
I would buy again, definitely!

Great synthetic brushes!
from Ponchatoula, La
I've recently started using Blick Masterstroke Golden Taklon Brushes and I absolutely love them. In this past year, I'd decided to only use synthetic brushes and have tried several brands. These are every bit as good as my natural hair brushes from a usability perspective. They're a great value, sturdy and seem to hold up very well.

Just what I wanted and super fast shipping.
Brush excellent but paint peeling off handle
from NE Georgia
I've been using a 3/8" angle shader in this series, and am impressed with the way it holds its shape. Today, though, I noticed that the paint is peeling off the handle. I wash, store and dry my brushes with great care, and none of my other brushes -- some of which I've used for decades -- have had any paint peel off. For this reason, I'd recommend a brush like the Simmons Saphire instead, which also holds its shape extremely well.

Disappointed in Zero Round
Comments about Blick Masterstroke Golden Taklon Liner:
I paint in acrylics. My comments here apply to the round 0 I bought. Just about every time I load it, it sheds another fiber. So I have a loaded round pointed brush with a single finer sticking out of the tip. Not what you want at all. I pull the offending fiber each time, so I suppose I will eventually denude the whole brush. So far, I do not have this problem with the other rounds of the same make, so I would have to sat that, at best there's a lack of consistency. Not expensive brushes, but they can sure be better.
