Welcome to dickblick
The best possible natural bristle is bleached to a pristine bone appearance. Blick's Master Bristle is made a bit tougher than our Studio Bristle to satisfy more physical painters. Gluing is done by hand to ensure the best possible hair retention.
Each brush is formed carefully and fitted to master molds, guaranteeing that the brush you buy today will match the one we hope you will be buying from us 10 years from now.
Lifetime Guarantee — When properly used and properly cared for, Blick Master Series brushes will last a lifetime. If at any time you are dissatisfied with the materials or performance of a Master Series brush, you may return it to Blick for a replacement.
Set of 4
This set includes sizes Flat #8, Bright #16, and Round #2 and #8.
Brush sizes — The length and width of a brush of a given shape and size may vary by manufacturer as brush sizes are not standardized. Since fine art brushes are handmade, expect some variation even among brushes from within a single brush line.

I purchased a bristle brush size 0. The bristles do not maintain their shape.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

brushes for oil paint
By lorna the painter
from amherst MA
The brushes hold their shape. When you think about how hard I am on brushes, applying oil painting with full force onto the canvas, they hold up extremely well. The hairs don't fall out. The handles are comfortable for the way I hold them, and the brushes withstand being left in turpentine every day.

hold more than their weight in paint..... movement is flawless. "sensual precision" is what comes to mind. If Santa Claus reads this.... I sure could use a few more of these. :)
Love you products

I've just started a new paint class and you have had everything I needed to prepare myself. The quality of your brushes and paints are superb. And I usually received my order with 5 days. Thank you!

I am a huge Dick Blick fan. I've ordered multiple products, paints, canvases, supplies for many years. Unfortunately this is my first dissatisfied experience. I feel like these brush tips don't hold their shape at all. During my very first use with the Dick Blick Master series round brushes, the bristles seemed to flare out. A frustration when you're doing very fine detail work and need a precise point. I will continue to order Blick materials, but won't order this series of brushes again.
Merchant response: Thank you for your review! Hog bristle brushes can give wonderfully textured strokes and are excellent for pushing thick paint, but they're in many ways not the ideal tool for precision work. For assistance in choosing brushes that will better suit your application, we hope you'll feel welcome to reach out to our Product Information Team. Product Specialists are available weekdays from 8am to 5:30pm CST at 1-800-933-2542 or firstname.lastname@example.org, and they're happy to help!
Poor quality brushes
from Portland, Or.
I bought several same sized filberts for Plein air use. Bristles splayed after first use on all; one actually lost some bristles. Very disappointed. Blick did refund money but had to spend time and money to return them.
Merchant response: We're sorry that these brushes didn't work out for you, and of course we were happy to assist you with a return. If we can be of further assistance in this, please let us know!
The hairs are all falling out of the brush. Almost unusable.
The hairs are all falling out of the brushes. So disappointed. I expect some to be there but this is massive. I really should get my money back. I have bought this series in the past but the quality has changed.
Merchant response: We're sorry to hear that you're having issues with these brushes. Please know that we stand behind our products with a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. Just call 1-800-723-2787, and our Customer Care Agents will take good care of you.
