Merchant response: Generally, bristle brushes do have a memory and hold a shape, but they are not the first choice for artists who want to do fine work or want a fine pointed brush. These brushes are made a bit tougher to satisfy more physical painters but this quality gives up some finesse for the painter. Bristle brushes are best used to spread medium to thick paints smoothly and evenly. For a detail brush we would recommend a Sable or stiffer synthetic.
