Made of 100% solid American pine from renewable forests, the Loma is finished with furniture-quality stains, then hand-rubbed to bring out its natural beauty. A scooped design frames paintings, prints, and watercolors beautifully.
Color Matching — We do our best to match the color of frames, both on our website photography and in our catalogs, but differences in technology may affect the appearance of the photo on your screen. You are entitled to return, for refund or credit, any frame that does not meet your expectations.
Frame Depth — The depth of a frame refers to the depth of the frame's rabbet (the cut-out area behind the frame's molding that holds your artwork in place). To find a frame that will accommodate your artwork, measure the depth of the artwork, including any matting or mounting materials, and order a frame with a depth that is, at a minimum, the same as that measured depth.
Frame Dimensions — Frames are sized by the opening, not by the outside of the molding. To determine the size of frame to order, measure the outside of your artwork, including mat, and order that size frame. The frame will overlap your artwork ¼" all the way around, so your artwork will fit nicely behind the frame's molding.
Open Back Frames — These frames are meant to be hung on the wall and are sold as just the frame face. They are not shipped with backing material, glazing material, or hanging hardware. The open back frames are commonly used for traditional profile stretched canvases.

Great for my custom portraits
from Tallahassee, FL
Comments about Blick Loma Wood Frames:
Beautifully finished solid wood frames really set off my custom portraits. Customers love them. Triangles of cardboard reinforce the corners in the back of the frame. This does make it difficult to back with brown paper, but I glue the paper on this model, and it looks pretty nice. I use these frames for watercolors, so with glass, mat, and foam backing, it can be difficult to fit it all in place, but for the beauty and value of the frame it's worth it.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Pretty Wood Finish
from Caldwell, ID
Ordered the wrong size....but like the frame very much. Will do a painting that will FIT. The finish is very nice, rather rustic and a nice dark brown. Will definitely not be sending it back. Good price, too.
Nice quality and simple.
Nice neutral frame choice, good one to keep on hand.
Beautiful product, great value!

I ordered several of these frames for students in my painting class. They are quite affordable and very attractive, just what the students needed to be proud of their masterpieces
Well made...Consistant quality.

I can't buy decent frames from the local big arts and crafts stores anymore. They want you to pay crazy prices for custom framing instead. These frames are made better and look better AND are half the price. This is a no brainer. This is my first purchase from Dick Blick and will try some of their other frames in the future as well.
Walnut stain on pine works.

This will be my standard frame for many of my historic watercolors. The woodgrain and 2-4/4" width really say "old," (in a good way).
i would buy this product again and again

painting frame all my art work great deal on product fram are best price i have found oil paints and acrylic and water colors frame is best deal i have fond william a james.
Nice frame for the price
Beautiful frame. Fair price. My only complaints would be that the miter could line up a little better, and this particular frame has thick cardboard pieces on the back holding together the joints. The cardboard pieces will make it difficult to put on the brown paper backing I always do on my watercolors. Otherwise, a particularly attractive frame.
I would buy this product again.

I bought a couple different sizes of this frame, and used one for a silk painting I had done for a gift. I liked the contrast of the frame with the silk painting. I had no problem fitting the frame with my piece.
