Six stainless steel blades (a liner cutter, a V-shaped cutter, a large V-shaped cutter, a U-shaped cutter, a large U-shaped cutter, and a knife) are contained in a balanced cutter handle with a twist-off cap. A clutch mechanism assures easy blade-changing.
Replace blades with standard lino cutter blades.

Comments about Blick Lino Cutter Set:
The blades cut well, but don't fit into the cutter. Brand new,, they feel like old, used blades. I recommend Speedball brand over this brand.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

If you have never done lino cutting and want to try, then this might be your set. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and buy a better quality set. The blades are dull, the holder comes loose regularly and the result is rips in your linoleum versus controlled cuts.
Merchant response: We're sorry that this set was not of the quality you were looking for. A member of our Customer Care Team will be in touch to assist with a return or exchange.

My students have enjoyed using these cutters. The only drawback would be that they take some finagling getting into the holders. Other than that, they have been a great choice.
Great value and storage included/

Purchased these for myself and my students. The quality was solid and the end of the handle opens to accomodate the extra blades - a plus when trying to keep supplies stored safely. The blades are sharp.

I am an art professor and have students use these for linolium cut relief prints. They work great!
Blick Lino Cutter is great value

I use these cutters primarily to cut the soft relief blocks. I bought another only because I'm showing friends how to carve blocks. Mine has been working fine for years. I don't know why you'd buy any others. Others are more expensive but no better.

Not as good as Speedball
from Goffstown, NH
I took a chance on these figuring they couldn't be much different from the speedball cutters, I mean, a cutter is a cutter, right? And to be fair, I've had good luck with Blick brand products so far.I will give them credit for a nice handle and an easy to use changing mechanism. My problem here is that firstly they come packaged in non-recyclable formed plastic. Totally unnecessary in my opinion.Secondly, which is the biggest reason I would not buy these again is the blades. They are thick and sturdy, for sure, but the cutting ability is below standard. Especially the small #1 blade, it's useless, and honestly, how are you going to get any fine detail if your fine detail blade isn't sharpened in a way that allows you to do that? It cuts more like a spoon than a v. So disappointing to have students new to block printing and finding them frustrated with the tools.I would really spend the extra money and get the speedball ones next time.

Speed-ball says it all.

I have been using speed-ball tools for more than fifty years, making block prints for cards of all occasions and illustrations for posters. In all this time the product has remained the number one. The blades could have a little more integrity not bad after fifty years.
